I've been told by my panel beater that they are needed to stop the exhaust from moving unnecessarily which may be the cause of a slight burn to myBumper near the exhaust tip.

Or mild steel chrome plated which is what the tips are.If you get the 3in pipe you linked might be a bit of work for the shop (more cost obviously) to make it fit the outlet of the standard rear muffler, which I'm unsure what size it is, don't think Mika posted that up - but his is a B series anyway..Hey I got these tips http://www.bestmufflers.com/bshop/product_info.php?cPath=374_377&products_id=966&osCsid=ce7b3ef9f08bf1ab79ec7f1c4d24a5c3. Shy, in Ciaran's sig it says he has a BF?.. If so you will need two of those tips. I got the 2.5" inlet which wasn't a hassle to make fit the 2.1/4" outlet of the muffler. That exhaust pipe tube in the other link, works out cheaper, but as Shy said, the whole pipe being 3" would make a bit more work for the exhaust shop, but can't imagine it being that much.. 2

Been quoted 100 bucks for the work including the new pipe being flanged so the muffler can be put back in easily. Can't wait to hear it this arvo.
