Hi Guys,

I had a great time watching the V8 Supercars at Winton last year. So, I was wondering if anyone would like to do it this year on Sunday 20 May?

I went up with Adam on a Saturday last year, but I was thinking we go up for the final day Sunday 20 May this year. Last year entrance on a Saturday cost $40 but this year it entrance costs $55 and it's the same price whether you go on a Saturday or a Sunday - that's why I think maybe we could go up on Sunday since that's when most of us would be free to go. We could bring up a portable BBQ with us and folding chairs and enjoy the view (of the cars I mean ). Was not very crowded last year, so you could easily get to the fence for as close as you can get viewing (though it was a Saturday). Nothing like he smell of octane and the reverberating roar of the V8s - beats just watching it on telly anyday in my opinion. A great day of good company, V8 supercars and Bartercard girls from memory

I also had about $25 in change left over after settling the bill for breakfast after the last event - the Grand Prix Photo Shoot, so I plan to buy a cheap Dick Smith CB with it so that we have a spare CB for cruises to loan out for free. Hope that sounds reasonable (the thought did cross my mind to spend it on grog )

just as a quick aside....ive really gotta check this victoria forum more often... I was free today! and had nfi that there was a potential cruise on...

in short, I want to get more involved and make more friends on this site......

if something is organised for winton id be down for that, given enough notice...probably drag along my mate with his xe esp and my other mate with his xe fairmont ghia...
