Smooth enough roads? Are you bringing an XR6T or a forklift? Who cares about a few bumps. The best roads for cruises aren't in Melbourne.

I put that on last night... I'll stick it out with a movie no matter how bad it is, but I had to make an exception with this one. It's SO bad that I struggled to get through the first hour and turned it off shortly after that.

They'll never rev to 18k. Max RPM is 15k.

The rules are designed to push the teams, quite aggressively too I might add, into the direction the automotive sector is going. The innovations they make here will result in better road cars. It's really quite remarkable stuff. They didn't just bolt parts together. They had to design and invent this stuff from scratch.

They didn't source their own. They had to refit a sensor that had already proved inaccurate. I completely agree that rules are rules. The question is did they actually break those rules or is the data false... That's what RBR will set out to prove in the appeal.

Alright alright... My aim for yesterday was to try slow shutter speeds to get some nice panning shots. F1 cars and 1/50th second shutter speeds make for a frustrating time! You'll have to excuse the fences...

New car is due to dock on the 12th. I'll be out if there's no delays to the delivery. I thought I would've been waiting until at least late April.

I just swapped the bits over and it worked fine. Didn't need any programming. I have read of people having issues though.

Not doing much to it at all really... Standard equipment is really good on the XLT. The standard tonneau is terrible, so I didn't get one of those and will instead fit one from Tuff Tonneaus. I love the look of the front of the car, so I don't want to cover it up with a bullbar, so I'm going to fit a 20" light bar to the opening in the lower part of the bumper to throw a bit more light around at night. That's about it. I'll be using it off road, but not for anything serious so it will stay pretty much standard.

Yep. Just shows how quick V8SC are. I only posted it because I remember a discussion on here a while back with a bunch of people saying a R35 would beat a V8SC. It's a good demonstration as a R35 is bloody fast in it's own right. So it shows just how quick real race cars are. The V8SC vs F1 vs Merc AMG at the Grand Prix is another good one to watch.

The V8 Supercars are at Winton on the first weekend of April this year. Is there any interest on a cruise up to the event on Saturday or Sunday?

Sounds like one of the hoses has blown off. Check all the cooler hoses etc from the turbo to the throttle body.

Anyone who thinks a R35 would beat a V8 Supercar on track should turn the Clipsal 500 on now.
