  3. Any of you blokes got an actuator for a ba/bf sitting in the shed? Got a ba turbo on a mates turbo Ecotec Late model camira and can't get it to make more the 8psi on the standard actuator. Wanna feed more boost into it for powercruise.

    In The Club

    Manualised btr with a pic controller= awesome brake boosting foot ons of fun. There's only 2 solenoids in the box that need to be used to control changes its extremely simple to get working and is the only way to get a btr to hold together semi reliable. Then it will run with the fg manual ecu. Going to strip back the paint to find all the rust underneath? How good are the torque boxes ? What have to got planned to strengthen the chassis? I've been looking at mine and have decided to just run 2 bits of box tube through the centre of the car to strengthen it all together. As the "chassis" strength is entirely in the sills which are usually rusted from the inside out. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  7. 6psi drop would be a leak IMO. The cooler looks a decent size don't see why it would be the issue. I personally run a $100 600x300x76 eBay cooler and have had back to back 450rwkw dyno pulls with a maxed out turbo, intake temps are fairly high around 70* but it was also 40* ambient temps. A leak will also create high intake temps as well so I'd go looking there before changing the cooler. Nice job with the diy tuning btw always good to see other people have a go and learn something.
  8. I'll be there won't be in a turbo B or F series though. Gonna throw my car on the skid pad hopefully it doesn't break lol. Is a killa weekend to thrash your car without any cop hassle. I only had 330rwkw last year and five people in the car the whole time loved 3rd clutch kicks out of the bowl.
  9. Yeh have the same thing with a mates car the huge cam at idle shakes the motor that much that had to up the idle to 900rpm to stop the rattling.
  10. Quadruple post good effort haha. The grinding noise with your foot on the clutch is definetly normal the rattle when you take you foot off isn't. does it go away if you hold the revs steady at an extra 200rpm above the stock idle? Say around 800-900rpm?
  11. Vid doesn't work for me. Is your clutch solid plates or sprung playes? I'm gonna guess that they are solid plates and it is the gearbox rattling at idle.
  12. 32 GTR would be my choice for a track car and probably the only other car I'd own over my turbo falcon. Nothing like the sound of an rb screaming its tits off on gate.
  13. Once you go black you never go back..... Best way would be out a swap add on Facebook see if anyone will swap for a polished one.

If you can find a box and all the accessories out of a wrecked car I've seen a few on gumtree for $1500-$2000 lately usually with standard clutch which will sh*t itself in ten minutes If you actually give it any sh*t. Then you will need to get the ecu flashed to a manual tune obviously after its all together. Edit: any pics of s13?

  16. Haha have the exact same thing at work young 1st year aprentice 6 months in buys a vy ss thinks it's the fastest thing ever otr, extractors all the usual sh*t 380rwhp. Ask'd me why I still drive an old El xr6 says it's slow and boring. Took him for a lap around the block at lunch time the other day drove slow for the first three corners got onto an open road in the industrial area clutched 3rd as I came round the corner threw it straight into 4th as it came on boost and a proceded to lay down a huge powerskid for the next 100+m as soon as I got off the throttle he's looking at me like wtf how did it do that my ss can't do that. Told him one day you'll learn how a turbo makes everything better lol.

  18. I've been out to 16.9-17 on e85 uses about 9lt/100km. I also have no O2 correction set on I just tune the map to best without lean misfire.
  19. The stock btr will love 500rwhp if you run it full manual that'll be enough for 10s everyday.

I'll be there hopefully in my El xr6 still the funnest event even with line ups you'll get enough track time over the three days to make it worthwhile, but it's more about just hanging out with mates that make it good, I don't think I'd be there without the lineup of mates wanting to come out for laps.

Fark paying for a billet fuel rail go buy two weld on -8 fittings cost $5 each chop the two ends of the rail off and get someone to tig the fittings on shouldn't take more then 10 mins to weld then you just saved yourself $400 on a pos billet rail that doesn't even fit anyway. Use the money saved to run full Teflon lines.

  24. Meh there's that many fg's in the wreckers these days just grab another loom if you ever change it back. Not that anyone would once you see how good they are why would you go back. Edit: when I wired my mates car I just started again made the whole loom from scratch because of all the sensor I added. It has fuel pres, oil pres, wideband input and more basically everything logged along with the engine protection setup for fuel pressure drops or the wideband leans out to save the engine. With the money some people on here have invested in engine I can't believe that would stick with the stock ecu when the safety from decent ecu control.
