JB, doesnt FORD have some responsibilty to pay for some, if not all, of whatever would be required to get it fixed properly, given that they cannot !! Probably cost them a whole lot less in the long run Alan

JB, I feel for you. I rely on my car for my living as it appears you do! If was mine was off the road as much as yours, my boss would kick my Mines only got just over 3000k's on it, but touch wood, hasnt missed a beat. Its an auto, but has no noises from anywhere in the driveline. How long should I have to wait for these no charge options to surface Good Luck !! Alan

I would have thought the easiest (read only) way for FPV to dig there way out of the hole the've gottem themselves into, would be to sort out the clutch problems ASAP, so as to handle at least 300Kw out, and then remap the ECU at the same time to up the output to the same 300Kw. This of course will win no favours with the GT owners, but jeez, what other choices do they now have?? At this rate, they'll never sell another Phoon

The antenna is in the rear window, therefor it will be affected somewhat by tint. Engine Temps appear to sit near 1/2 all the time. Mine warms up in about 1 minute (ie: real quick) Mine readout for fuel is same as yours - not close - maybe the computer will 'learn'?? Economy - What economy - They suck petrol even when nursed around town. Only stop sucking when doin' 100Km on open rd. Mine averages approx. 12.7l/100km doing 70% Country driving. Mine was re-flashed this afternoon by FORD, cant tell the difference yet, but I've only had the car 4 weeks anyway. Its an Auto, so cant comment on the gearbox. Alan

Got mine re-flashed today as part of 3K service check. Cant seem to tell the difference after 50Km, although I had no problems before the flash either The comment from the Dealer was that the overboost issue appears to be an issue with about 20,000Km on the clock Alan

Just do a search of the other EDIT threads here and you'll find heaps of info on it. The feedback we've received so far is that the flasher box can be used on up to 5 cars before it needs to be sent back to the States for unlocking. BUT, car #1 has to be flashed back to the original Ford Tune before the unit can be used on car #2. <{POST_SNAPBACK}>

My stock T Auto only has 2850Km on it, and it averages nearly 13l/100k, and that's doing 80% Country cruising. The things absolutely SUCK petrol around town. Get the new flash Friday , dunno whether that's gunna make things better or worse. Al

Guys, hows the reflash performing after a few Ks for the ECU to 'learn' new things? Mine's due for it Friday, have had one situation where I think?? I had a overboost cutout. Changed to higher gear and off again. I am not sure, as you can also get to redline/cutout before you realise it too Alan

I have to fess up that I am struggling to understand where the cold air is coming from. On looking around my headlight assy., I cant see where the hell you would actually get a decent flow of fresh air from. I understand its from UNDER the headlight assy?? Looking for enlightenment

Today I had the 3oooKm inspection. I didn't ask for the PMC Update (If it ain't broken don't fix it), but upon pick up was informed that they reflashed it anyway. No code PRGC309 was listed on the paperwork. This is a bit interesting as before acepting delivery of the car I e-mailed my dealer requesting confirmation that my MkII already had the fix - they said yes it does! Bullsh*it. I knew I was being fed crap at the time because of what I'd read in the forum. Anyways, the car does feel better with the reflash. My first full tank (of course delivered empty) of my brand new T was optimax, tailpipe turned black in 2 days. Read this thread, have used either Caltex Premium or BP Ultimate since. Havent had to clean the tailpipe once since this time. I think the Optimax has a lot of phospher or the like in it. Whatever it is, I wont be using it again.

I managed a 211rwkw, then followed up with a 207rwkw from my stock MkII SSS with 2000km on the clock. Was pretty amazed given I dont think it has much grunt down low. You seem to loose about 3-4kw per run due to increasing temps. Didnt seem as hard on the car as I had heard Thanks Dynowog. (Nick)

Have you tried AAMI. My Sedan costs $840 for Business use. (Rating 1) Rating makes a HUGE difference. Is Ute insurance normally more or les than a sedan??
