My Avatar, which I 'borrowed' from someone else on the site wont animate.

Its an animated .gif file which animates on my PC no probs, and was animated as an avatar elsewhere on this site.

What could be the problem?

I like em bouncing

On uploading the image has appeared to be convered into a .jpeg which has no ability to animate. Try uploading it again.

What specifically does that mean?

It IS an animated gif on my PC.

There appears no options to select the type at upload time.

Cheers,

Most likely GD is resizing the image to suit forum requirements and saving it as a JPEG.

I had the same problem.. unfortunately u need to SHRINK the size down to fit the dimensions if u want it to be animated...
