Hi I am having a prob with no heater, A/C or fan controls in my BA XR6T. Im suspecting a faulty BCM (Body Control Module) & am wondering if a replacement needs to be programmed to suit my car. Does this have the Keyless entry & security codes programmed into it? If anyone could be of assistance it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks Russ

Help, the wifes BA with Premium Sound has lost all the fan & aircon control. Has this happened to anyone else & what do you think may be the fault? I've checke the A/c Fuse & that seems ok, the sound all works fine just the fans, heater/ac & the fresh/recircualted air are not functioning Thanks Russ

LOL @ Barryblue & MB Junior I have to basically build to F6 Spec inc diff, gearbox ratios but I can use aftermarket rods & pistons. Do the BA's & BF's all use the same spec turbo??? They do not have to be a complied Typhoon. I need to build to Typhoon spec, which is way cheaper than just buying one or 2. In fact try at least $20,000 per car cheaper.if not more. To me a Typhoon is over priced & to build to that spec in race trim can be done a lot cheaper. Also building the car is half the battle, having a decent steerer (which I have) is another battle. There are race car drivers & then there are true professionals. Luckily I have probably the best driver available in Qld currently racing for me. thanks Russ

I currently run a businees based on the Gold Coast called Race Car Leasing, have a look at our website www.racecarleasing.com I have been a member on here for years & have so far owned 3 XR6 Turbos. I am going to build an XR6 (or maybe 2) into a typhoon for the purposes of racing the the Australian Performance Car Championship & the Bathurst 12 Hour ( Not tha I think we can win at Bathurst) What I need to know is what exact differences there are between an BA XR6 turbo & a BF MKII Typhoon. Thanks, I need to know exactly what I need to add to bring it up to F6 typhoon spec. This is for circuit racing so the specs must be exact. I'm allowed to use an after market brake caliper, so Brembos aren't a concern. my cheapest option is to build an XR6 up to phoon & would save at least $20,000-30,000. In fact I could nearly build 2 for what it would cost to build 1 phoon! Thanks Russ

Hi can someone please let me know what I'm missing out between the BF Typhoon & the BA XR6 Turbo? I'm not concerned with the following: Body kit, interior trim, Gearbox, Rods, Valve Springs, Intercooler, wheels/tyres, & brakes. I want to convert an Xr to a phoon & need to know exactly the differences. The interior will be gutted & caged so I don't care about interior trim. Thanks Russ

LOL, An F6 has no chance in hell & you have no idea what you're talking about! All the advantage for torque delivery is from 2000 RPM, they'd never see the advantage in a cicuit race other than getting off the line, which they would be gobbled up by the AWD's anyway! Anyway you can dream on about it, but the fact is the HSV has the runs on the board & was very strong at Bathurst as you would have seen on TV.

If they were purely off the the showroom floor with no mods other than exhaust & suspension, the HSV's would be killing everything around Bathurst! Put simply they have a huge swept volume advantage over anything Ford has! Until Ford can produce a 6 Litre 300+ KW machine they will have no chance in thsi format, especially around the Bathurst. McClaren could be preparing the car & it still wouldn't be a front runner at Bathurst. Blame FPV if you're gonna blame anyone. The V8's & the Evo's have power to weight & the V8's have sh*t loads more HP than the Typhoon. The turbo F6 is too heavy to compete with the smaller turbo AWD cars & is underpowered for the big long straights at Bathurst. The power to weight basically sux! Off the line it would be great, but definately get eaten alive by every AWD in the field! Up & down the hill it simply doesn't have the HP compared to the V8, nor the power to weight of the EVO, especially the one of Mark King which is probably the best handling car in the field & so it should be as King has the experience to set it up. The choice of weapon in the Performance Car Championship is either an EVO 8/9 or HSV GTS. I'm thinking of buying a new MY07/MY08 STI to campaign in this series, I'd buy a Typhoon but they simply would not be anywhere as competitive! Cheers Russ

A stock T will kick a stock 8's ass all day long if they both have the same trans. The 6 Speed is more of an advantage for the 8 as the torque range is a lot less in the Boss compared to the Turbo Barra! But it's all over in the first 100m anyway. Another thing of note is what fuel was being used in both cars? Russ

Yeh Al, if you go out to MP you'll enjoy it. Although the V8 Supercar won't be able to stretch it's legs there as the straights are too short for it to wind up but is should drift right out under the bridge 7 have a fair bit of stick over the hill! Leasing a race car starts from $1100 Arrive & Drive for a days racing, leasing a V8 Supercar starts at $25,000 for a 3 day weekend! Al somehow I don't think you will be getting a spin in the race spec setup. Definately not with the race motor as the $210 charge wouldn't even pay for the wear on the motor let alone the rest of the package! Considering a full blown V8 Supercar engine costs from $50k & up I don't think Beikoff will be running one at the drive day! The V8 Race experience also employ top drivers to sit in the passengers seat & guide you round the track. I don't know about you, but I'd rather have a steer then sit in as a passenger. I've done a fair few laps around there racing & in the passengers seat, but their is no bigger thrill than being behind the wheel! But we're only talking a couple of hundred, so go for it I say just sit back & enjoy the ride. Make sure they tip it in to turn 1 at full noise so you can sh*t yourself....LOL Cheers Russ

Yeh Beikoff is based in QLD & I'd say this will only be at QR. The difference between this ride day & the V8 Experience here in Qld is that you get to drive the car in the V8 Experience as against sitting in the drivers seat in the V8 Supercar! Cheers Russ

the courts have dealt with it & the copper is innocent. Case closed in my books!!! if this was a white fella from Mt Druitt, inala etc. would there be the same publicity??
