  1. My money says its off a TDi Nissan Patrol....?
  2. Manual 2004 Typhoon gets just over 600k with constant highway driving, sitting on about 120 , Is better at 100 but can't bring myself to drive that slow for an entire tank.
  3. don't be too hard on Rossco he's from the Northside.. and things move kinda slowly out thataway.
  4. I remember the same thing happened on my dads NSW plates, he got a letter from the RTA saying his plates were probably fading and would be replaced free of charge. ...and he got some trendy Sydney 2000 Olympics plates with the same rego number.
  5. ..sounds like you are simply turning Blood orange into Mandarin.
  6. Jimmy is always so over the top. You simply have some old fart remove the offending side of your bumper as he runs a red light, then take the bumper home and put it on your desk. Then you can easily access the four tabs holding in the foglamp....
  7. I heard Steve Bracks on the news taking the credit for the as a great win for Victoria....or some such twaddle, then he said something about Saleens mum, and that Will Anderson was a tosser.
  8. I like it, here are some better pics....Muzza you need a newer phone.. My favourite colour is Blue Pearl... Im sure the last pic is from the gallery on this site, there is about 12 more but I cant be bothered wasting server space posting them ......again. Does some nerd know how to search for a file name rather than a keyword and post the link to the rest of them....
  9. I'd agree. My first XR6T was an auto and one day at a series of lights a guy in a manual gave me a nod and we were off. The first set of lights I beat him by a good car length. The next light we were pretty much even. And the third lights, he had his launch teqhnique perfected and he got a half car lenght and slowly crept away, more then making up what he lost on each change. SO a propperly driven STOCK manual will out perform an auto.
  10. I have it on good authority that he used some of the uranium glass he couldn't sell, to keep himself warm at night. This led to a Lumpy Prostate..... Now he's in hospital undergoing an Addadicktomy.
  11. people like you amaze me, you think your privacy would be any different with an ID card? no way! the government departments already know all they need to know about us all, every time you apply for a loan or open a bank account or use your medicare card get a social security number, renew your licence etc etc they know exactly who you are where you are and what you do with your life already. I dont think an ID card will make your life any less private. ← You are joking right… Have you ever dealt with a govt department? Have you ever tried to ascertain how much FTB Family Tax Benefit you are entitled to, have you ever called them up and tried to find out why they just sent you a cheque for over $3k, before you spend it? And if they made a mistake you can’t just send it back, no that’s too hard, you must deposit the check and immediately, that is before it clears send them a cheque for the same amount. Yes they potentially have access to all our personal data from personal medical history to spending habits, however bureaucratic bozos have no idea what they are doing, let alone what were doing. That’s why they have had to introduce a new Medicare card. They believe there a tens of thousands of bogus Medicare identities out there collecting benefits and they cant figure out which is genuine and which is not so they are just going to start again.
  12. ..Not to stripe.
  13. I have been too ashamed to keep track of the price of LPG. About a year and a half ago I sold my wifes mint condition EA S on LPG for an AUII Fairmont wagon, the AU uses about 14L (petrol at $1.40) around town and the EA used about 12L (LPG 57c). Over that time petrol has gone up about 40c and LPG about 4c.....

He was paying 7.48 DKK per litre which is $1.68 AUD (for 95ron).. far from the $5.08 they claim in the table This price is from a year ago. ← Except that the prices in this are per gallon which is 3.785412 L so $1.86x3.785412 = $7.04. Also with the comment about Diesels a few pages back is a bit out of date. A modern direct injection 3L V6 Turbo diesel (such as the one avalible in the 300C in europe) puts out a mere 160kw but over 510nm and uses about 8L/100 in a car the same size and weight as the T. So with its immense low rpm torque it would give performance somewhere between the XR6 and an XR6T whilest using a bit over half the fuel. And modern diesels on proper low sulpher fuel put ot far less polution than before, as well as about 25% less CO2 (major green house gas) than petrol powered cars. Yes diesel is more expensive than it used to be but most performance cars, even cars like a Mazda 6 specify PULP so the cost difference is erroded. But today LPG is the best way to save $$$.
  15. If its a girls car there should be a rubber grommet where the clutch......isnt. I'd go and have a look but my car is a manual.....and at the panel beaters.
  16. Welcome to 2004 Merv....
  17. I regards to that specific crash, if it was the one in outer Sydney between the WRX and the HQ, the news the next day reported that the Subaru driver speeding on the wrong side of the road had his license suspended 2 weeks earlier but it took 28 days to process the suspension so he still drove. Heading should have read "2 killed by bureaucratic ineptitude"
  18. I think it is a brilliant idea and I will save plenty of time driving everywhere at 120km/h.
  19. Stoopid gramar and spell checker totaly rearranged the first sentence from "Last night I realised quickly circumstance could take away the people and things I value greatly." .....To the drivel in the start of the first post. ..and I have about 3 worst things.... the best thing is of course, as you all said ....I still have my wife, must have had a lot on my mind. This is the second time she has done well, about 2 years ago, the day we picked up her car, an AUII Fairmont wagon, we had the whole family in the car, she was driving and I was in the front passenges seat leaning into the back to 'discipline' one of the kids and she slammed on the breaks and flung me about the car and as I turned to give her a WTF..... a fat chick, talking to her passenger in a crappy little Excel sailed past within millimeters of the front of our car, right through a give way sign. And didnt even notice us or the sign. If she had not been on the ball that day, Id have had a stay in hospital. And she does not like to spend money, on clother shoes, furniture or jewlery.. ...yes she has a sister but she is married and loves to crash cars and burn holes in credit cards...
  20. Last night I realised quickly the people and others could take things I value greatly away. My wife went out for dinner with a few friends whilst I stayed home and watched over our 2 small boys. I suggested she take my F6 as she could pick up her friends and they could have a drink or seven, and she would not have to take the kiddie seats out of her Fairmont. Then at about 10pm I got that gut wrenching phone call I hope I never ever get again. “We’ve had a crash and the front of the car is gone and the other car has rolled, what do you want me to do…..?” My wife had left APK in Woden and was turning onto Callum st (yes just up the road from the cop shop) The light was already green when she approached the intersection and another car had already gone through in front of her. Just as she entered the intersection she noticed a fast approaching car in the corner of her eye and slammed on the anchors (which apparently work much better than her cars) and a crappy old XE clipped the front of the Phoon ripping the bumper off, then spun clipped the gutter in the middle of the intersection, veered back across the road, up over the kerb, obliterating the traffic signal control box and came to rest on its drivers side in the grass on the side of the road. If my wife had not been such an attentive driver he would have hit her square on in the front wheel or possibly the drivers door and would be far worse off and there would be one less Typhoon in the world. Fortunately she is ok and the car can be fixed. The worst bit is that in September I ran into the back of an old fart who drove the entire length of a street at 20ks/h then stopped at an intersection to give way to nothing….so the car had a brand new front bar headlight and guard already….now they are just bits of crap in the gutter. So never take your family for granted, because late one night some stupid bas*ard may take them away from you… The worst part was I had spent all day Saturday cleaning it, 2 hours with eucalyptus oil removing all the tar and bug guts, then a wash then a polish….. The one with the police cars is last nights effort, the other is from 6 months ago.
  21. ...perhaps.
  22. You will of course need to provide copys of this document before hand so we can have it inspected by legal council, before signing it......and Saleen will need it to show to his mum before he can come...
  23. Amused me in a post accident (Skaife into the wall again in race 2) interview Skaife said that he and Murph had spoken about it and agreed that Ingall had failed to give Murph racing room, and that contributed to the crash. If you watch any of the thousand replays you can see Murph trying to get past the other car (Black Jack car from memory) and Ingall is all over the back of them. When Murph stays beside the other car heading for turn 8 ingall backs off giving Murph almost 2 car lenghts of space, should he regain the use of his brain. So at this point Skaife seems to think Ingall has backed off so I'll go round him... At this point Murph and Skaife go into turn 8 both on the outside of other cars and hit the wall......haven't laughed so much for ages. Lowndes would have to have the most even temperament in the universe.
