Welcome mate! They really are a great engine...but if you don't mind me asking, why would you opt for the turbo 6 engine for a Mustang rather than the supercharged 5L V8 Coyote motor from the GT model FG's? Or does it come down to price? Don't get me wrong, I loooooove the turbo 6...it makes me happy in the pants, but I can't help but feel a V8 belongs in a 67 Mustang and that Coyote motor is a cracker!

Also, if those of you guys with the big boys toys attached to your cars (GTX's and PTE's) wouldn't mind, I'd love to jump in the passenger seat to experience it...given that's where I'm eventually heading with my mods...would be good to get an idea of where I'm aiming at and what to expect.

I have a gopro with a spare battery and suction mount, happy to bring that along.

I reckon that's a decent price. I paid 28 for mine Sept last year, and mines a 2010 50th Anniversary that had 36,000km on it when I bought it, a custom bonnet, growler CAI and a zorst (I realise now it was just a cheap ebay cat-back one...but it's the thought that counts right?). On a different note. My housemate offered to let me drive his CV8R Monaro last night...so I did. He's got Tein's in it so thought handling wise our cars would have been on a similar page...I was...less than impressed. Handled alright, little bit heavier than mine though. I was waiting for the excitement to kick in...but it never came...it...never...came... I preferred everything about my car haha, his did sound nice though, I'll give it that. So I decided to offer him a drive of my car...he was like a little kid. A few "far out! That's awesome!" comments came out, along with big grins. I then said to him "Imagine it with 400kw at the rear wheels " haha...I love these cars! I'm hooked!

Yeah well that's what I figure. Why spend an extra $3-4K for now when stock turbo maxes at 320ish rwkw. Would be happy enough for now with 280-300rwkw and a custom tune. Biggest difference I noticed between my car and masda74's car was how much smoother his was than mine. Compared to mine his felt almost like driving an auto, it was that smooth off idle.

I'm actually tempted to just get a stage 1 and high flow cat from MT. If I could get similar power to tobylee I think that would keep me happier until I can upgrade to a stage 3 with nizpro gear and a PTE 6235.

Don't suppose any of you fine gentleman would have spare clips that hold the door trims on for an FG and would possibly be happy to chuck a new one on my front passenger door for beer? Every time my passenger door gets closed I have to click the trim back into one of the clips up top...kinda taking a lady friend for a drive in a week's and would rather not have to do that with her in the car haha
