  1. Thanks for that, I should be able to figure it out
  2. Can you please explain a little more about how you connected the ICC IR to the set top box?

Good to hear, I hope that its all smooth sailing from here
  4. Sorry Guys, I thought that I mentioned the 6th of August in XtremeF6's post. If you are not busy, come down for a look. I know that its not as much fun but I am sure that it would motivate you to join in next time EDIT: Come to think of it there was mention of another day being organised for the ford boys on Sat 12th August. It hasn't looked too promising so far because of a lack of interest. If we can get enough people together then maybe we can make it happen, what do you think?
  5. Ok, I should have been more specific... Is anyone going to the AHG Driver Training Facility this sunday?? There is a skid pan/ motorkhana event being run by MC Motorsport. It is a full day that has been arranged for FPV's etc, with a morning and an arvo session. I believe that it is already booked out so if you haven't already got your name down, its probably too late. I just thought that there may be a few guys from the forum going cos I know that there was a bit of interest when XtremeF6 was trying to organise a few days out there. It should be a good day if you wanted to come out and have a look, morning session will probably be the best cos I gather that the arvo is mostly women drivers (not being sexist but they tend to be a bit more sedate). On a bit of a side issue, have any of the WA guys out there got a spare 17inch rim that I could borrow/buy? I have got the spare tyres organised for the day but want to try to avoid having to take the car back and forth to the tyre shop to swap between my street and "fun" tyres. Let me know if anyone can help?? Thanks Sure why not. As a rule I spend every Sunday hanging out at a car dealership Only thing is this week I was scheduled to visit Brooking Mazda but I could always put that off to next week Whats happening @ AHG ? ←
  6. Hey is anyone from the forum coming to AHG on Sunday??

I don't like to be the bearer of bad news but if indeed there was a short at the injector plug because of the CRC it could have damaged the ECU. These ECU's can supposedly be damaged (in rare cases) simply by using the bosch 968's. I gather that their imedance is slightly lower than that of the standard injectors and the higher current draw has damaged the ECU. Its likely that the CRC caused excessive load on the ECU in your case, might be worth checking but I hope that I am wrong.
  8. This may be a silly question guys....but do the electronic Autometer Guages work off the factory ford sender units or do you need to use the autometer sender units??
  9. What is it, when I follow the link it just returns an error??
  10. Cool, thanks for that I didn't realise it was that easy. I thought that the only way to get the picture to display was by using a vga to composite video converter (NTSC).

    Water Wetter?

I am running straight water wetter in my car (ie no other coolant). It seems pretty good, only slight complaint is that when used as the only coolant in the system it doesn't seem to maintain its colour very well (the dingy ford header tank doesn't help). I have regularly topped it up with more consentrate but people still comment that it looks dirty and needs changing. Performance wise though, I remember a magazine doing some testing on it (Perth Streetcar) and they said that it did appear to have some benefits. When they ran it in the coooling system, the water temp appeared slightly higher but the engine temp was slightly cooler. They attributed this to the water wetter extracting more heat from the engine.
  12. Simon, I saw that John Clark sent out an email saying that there was a skid pan day on Sunday 19th June. Has he told you whether or not this is booked out? If not I am sure that we could find the numbers to fill it up I know that you were trying to get a day where we would be on our own but I thought that it may be worth looking at just in case you are eager to get you car out there and have some fun
  13. I am sure that some weekends will become available for us. If we can't get anything sooner, there is a sunday booked for Ford/FPV's on Sunday 6th August. Same scenario, short track and skid pan but I believe that it may be a full day event.
  14. Sh!te!! I didn't realise that we were talking weekdays, maybe I am not a definite...(if that makes sense??)
  15. Put me down as a definite Simon
  16. Awesome Jason!! You will have to take me for a spin when its all up and running with its added bits and pieces
  17. There is more stress on a turbo engine than a N/A. Like skylines for example, you will notice that allot of people sell their Skylines when they hit around 70k. Its because they either require their MAJOR service or they need a rebuild. Being brought up in the N/A world this is what I have been taught about turbo engines. To me the T is the ultimate car. Although I also once thought that the T would last as long as any N/A engine (partly due to its low boost, great engineering & tuning) I have been lead to believe that this engine will not last anywhere near as long as N/A performance engines such as the Ls1. ← well the LS1's use oil from new so that's a good starting point Chooka ← I know of many a LS1 that has been rebuilt at under 80 000km because they had excessive piston slap
  18. define workshop. define best. This is why we get to vote.. choice. People have opinions.. it makes the world go round. ← My sentiments exactly...what is Jason basing his statement on..? personal opinion or concrete results...? Im keen to know. ← I think that it was just supposed to be some light hearted humor.....obviously didn't work
  19. I have heard that "Fire Glaze" is a good product, also "Glare Infinity Plus". I haven't actually tried either of them yet but have seen Fire Glaze on a black XR8 and it looked awesome I also believe that ZAP F6 has put the Glare product on his car, not sure what he has to say about it now.
  20. no T5 in the XR8 I think. Its a different box to that found in a T or n/a XR6. I think it may have some relationship with the 5 sp in the late model mustangs. ← I think that its a Tremec TR3650. I have heard that they don't fit straight behind the six but not sure how much effort is required to make it fit
  21. Sorry Steve, I have been tentatively booked for a Sydney trip that weekend.
  22. If you do a search on the forum, you should find reference to a pdf version of the factory workshop manual, which is available on cd.
  23. Hey F6, I can't seem to get the vid to work. When I follow the link it just downloads a very small file that windows doesn't know what to do with. Any Suggestions?? I was hoping to go up there last night to have a look but didn't eventuate, would have been fun I imagine
  24. Is that the 24th April?? What club is running that one?
  25. Awesome Good to see that you didn't waste anytime getting the good bits put back on your car!
