  1. Hi, I am going to build an engine with JE pistons. The pistons have been shipped out to me but I haven't received them yet. I gather that they recommend 0.004" clearance to the bores normally but then they recommend a further 0.001 - 0.003" clearance for supercharged or turbo charged applications. Did any of you guys add some additional clearance?
  2. I spend a fare bit of time there but mostly work from Perth. Cloudbreak is pretty good, you will like it.
  3. What sort of price are you looking for on the R-Spec? I know a guy who may be interested.
  4. Another option is Brett from Sublime auto detailing. He actually works with Des from Auto FX but Brett is based in the Northern Suburbs. He does a very good job.
  5. Maybe I misunderstood the meetpoint too. I thought we were meeting at the nodes car park in Hillarys? I waited there for a while but saw no one.
  6. Hey Guys, I will come to the meet point and maybe the first part of the cruise. Will have to take off early though as my wife has booked me a V8 drive at AHG that day. I would probably be better off taking the F6 on the track but should be fun nonetheless.
  7. www.carbra.com.au has a heap of photos.
  8. True, If you are the first owner nominated in the owners manual, then you get to claim the 50% investment allowance.
  9. Mal, I know its a bit of a drive but its always worth talking to Lane Ford in Mandurah, that's where I bought mine. I had been talking to Centreford for ages and they refused to budge on price. I rang Lane's cos it turned out that they had a slightly better one in stock. I told them what I was prepared to pay and they just said "no problems". It was pretty much that easy. Leigh
  10. Nang, I have been going through similar issues with my family trust and business etc. The short of it is no! Until you actually realise the loss (sell) you can't claim it as a loss, in the same way as you don't get hit with CG until you sell a property etc. Depreciation is slightly different as you effectively realise the loss each financial year. Leigh
  11. Apparently this is my 300th post...pretty poor effort seeing that I have been a member for 5 years!
  12. Mat, might be worth getting the typhoon plugs, I think that they are slightly colder.
  13. It was even more impressive watching it in person! Pity I was in the other group. Good work Adrian!
  14. I am guilty of not changing my clothes when I get on the plane but seeing that I am an Engineer and don't do any real work, I don't think I get too smelly. The problem is often that the flights are organised so that you have to go straight from site to the airport. Some airports have grotty little showers that you can use but it does take a bit more organisation to have toiletries and spare clothes/towel etc in your carry on luggage.
