Well, it may not be WA but I have spotted some mad cars over here in the US!!! The funniest was in a small town called Red Wing in Minnesota. They love their "pickup trucks" there and some guys just went way too far with the big wheels and spotlights and stuff. I saw one that you would have needed a ladder to climb in to.

Yeah, when I hear a story like that, I get a little feeling deep in side that................................................makes me want to punch a do gooder in the FACE!!! I can't get over all the hysteria over hoons! I bet that cop would not have gone easy on one of us if we did the same thing. He would have taken one look at the car and labelled us as a hoon! These new laws that they are proposing are a f@ckin joke!! The road safety council must be the dumbest bunch of people alive!!! Let double penalty's again (for the fourth time), it may not of worked before but maybe it will this time!!??!!!?

The filter may just need replacing. There are threads on here that show you how to do it yourself if you are keen. Otherwise, any ford dealer (eg Lynford or Centre Ford) would probably be best for that sort of problem.

I know guys that have run 330-340rwkw with the 968's. I gather that they will do it quite easily. Will probably just need a better fuel pump of some sort.

How Often Do You Get Your Car Professionally Detailed?
I Just spent a day buffing my car. I am pretty happy with the results but would consider a professional detailer if I new that they would do it a lot better than I could.

Swapping The Zf And The T56
I only know of one guy who has done this... Ninka. Send him a PM, I am sure that he will be happy to help. You nay even be able to find the thread that he started when the project got underway. By the sounds of it, it wasn't an easy exercise! I remember that he even had to change the BCM (Body Control Module) as the auto interfaces with it. Certainly not a five minute job. Leigh

Very Nice! What sort of routine do you have to keep the paint looking so good? What sort of polish do you use?

If you want to believe those oil test results that were published a while ago, the Penrite oil kicks ass. The Royal Purple also tested well. The Castrol Edge was ok but not overly flash as far as they were concerned. They weren't even very impressed with Redline. As far as the weight goes, I would probably just stay with the 0W40 although I do know a lot of people that use the 10W60. These engines are supposedly designed with relatively tight tolerances that favour a lighter oil. The 60 weight would run slightly higher oil pressure (not ideal considering the oil pump gears are already somewhat suspect), it would also drop the engine power output ever so slighty.

I have got the Lovell Springs and Magic Cat with standard dump. Mine scrapes on speed bumps etc but its not too bad, you just learn to be a bit more careful.

5 Star Shine
When you read all the stuff, you see that its just a teflon product, same as many others. I haven't actually tried teflon but I know a car detailer who swears by it. One issue that I have heard of (not sure if its true though) is that it can cause problems when trying to re paint etc as the panel beaters have a lot of trouble removing it.

I tried gutting a cat myself once, didn't work too well. I think that I just made it collapse inside. Although it probably all came out in the end, after a few months of spraying dust out the exhaust and all over the cars behind me!
