  1. I need a gimpy too, sometimes a claw hammer just doesn't do enough damage.
  2. At this stage, yeah.
  3. I say I'm going to pull out just before but sometimes I don't. Oh wait.... We're talking about the cruises again aren't we ?
  4. First timers have to give out BJ's. Other than that, we meet up, talk sh*t, drive a bit, stop and talk more sh*t, then drive some more to the final stop and clear up any sh*t that hasnt been talked yet. Skids and hoon behaviour are obviously not encouraged. Offenders will be pointed at quite severely.
  5. Crikey! That's impressive! I'd be keen to hear how streetable it is or whether you have to keep you trips to just stints between the servo and the tyre shop.
  6. Don't be surprised if the valve springs are not dealing very well with above stock boost pressure. My car is a MK2 FG, as soon as the boost went to 16psi, the valve springs started to fall over at 4600rpm. That was with less than 30k kms on the clock. So yeah, they're not the best.
  7. f*cken people are throwing tools at you from all directions ! Make sure you get some pics when you do the job won't ya ?
  8. I can lend you a heat gun if you need one Zads.
  9. Steve what were you boys up to in there to make your windows fog up?
  10. Yeah I had a good time, thanks Kyle. The boss has decided that she will not be coming on any future cruises in wet weather. Not sure why, I think it's because it was quite cold outside.
  11. I wonder about this as well. When XFT last tuned my ute, they kept asking me if I'm definitely running 98 as they were getting pinging early. I am 100% sure I've not put anything other than 98 in and 80% of the time, its from a particular BP which I made sure I fuelled up at the couple of tanks prior to my tune. I'm going to start using others now and see what happens. especially if I'm doing another tune.
  12. Fitted some DBA T3's today. Still using my oem pads. Rear brake still squeaks even after chamfering pads :(
  13. After using mummba's trolley jack last weekend, I realised what a complete POS my jack is so I visited Mals today and picked up this low profile aluminium 3 tonner up for 400odd. Expensive yes, but light for its size and doesn't need me to wave the handle up and down 7 inches to take up all the gaps in the flogged out linkages before it does anything, which makes it impossible to use right under a lowered car. Here's looking to a long and happy relationship.
  14. About $740 for a full set of T3's, GeGe. Going to run with the OEM pads and see how they go. Yeah Kyle, I didn't see who delivered the rotors but I'm just stoked they got them to me today. I was expecting them sometime next week out of Sydney.
  15. I'm bringing the handbrake too Kyle. Looking forward to having a little drive.
  16. Holy crap !!! Ordered and paid for a set of T3 rotors from Race Brakes in Sydney this morning and they were dropped off to me here in Welshpool this arvo !! Well done Race Brakes and their distributor on the fast service !
  17. Soooo is it the 9th then?
  18. Wow cool timing. Best hop on over!
  19. Thanks heaps for today mate, very handy to be able to trial fit on your car. Unfortunately the wheels just touch the front calipers so we didn't bother checking the rears. At least I know that direction is out unless I want to go to spacers. I'm also keen to see how well your F6 goes when it's all done. Impressive car.
  20. I may be the only one here but I think they look rubbish. Especially the judge. Whoever designed that fuel tank/seat/oil tank combo should be shot with a ball of their own sh*t.
  21. Heh, Luke I thought about it after I posted and it occurred to me that those fours might be on your car instead of sitting under a bench in the shed. I didn't read your post properly. Mummba if you're available this weekend, I'll take you up on that offer as I would only want the single spot on the rears if I go this way. Race Brakes tell me the sedan will be suitable to try the rears as well. We just wouldn't drop it onto the ground with my wheel on your car as its a 285 tyre and I'd also only bother checking the rear if the front fits.
  22. Thanks Kyle, next weekend would be spot on if no one else pipes up. I should also know by then whether I'll still have a job or will be taking a few months holidays and will cut the spending a bit. I'm still unsure about doing the rears because my BA 17s with drag tyres would no longer fit. Maybe I'll go brembo front and upgraded single spot on the rear or something. Wiggie, are those four spots for sale or just trysies?
  23. Does anyone have a brembo equipped FG ute that's willing to spend an hour or so at my place in Thornlie so I can trial fit my wheels to one side of their car? Can come to you if required and if you've got a safe and level space to jack and stand two cars at one time. After last Sundays cruise showed up a deficiency in my braking power, im looking at upgrading the picks and need to know if my mags will fit or whether to just go for a disc and pad upgrade and maybe better two and one spot calipers. Does anybody know if a sedan may also be suitable to check ? I also believe BA or BF may be okay to check against ?
  24. Either of the June 9ths or June 30 is okay for me.
  25. I'll be going along. Maybe catch youse there.
