  1. Probably doable, just keep in mind that the sump is different as crossmember is located in different spot on FG model cars. BA XR8 sump will not fit as Coyote engine is totally different to the old 5.4 ltr BOSS.
  2. Luke's fault really, it was only the smallest slip a long time ago and of course, being the grammar & spelling police as he is , he had to make fun of me
  3. No No No - That is a high chance of 'POOST' (those around here long enough know what I am on about)
  4. This may help if you look at top right of engine, you can see the cam sensor pickup 'gears' This is the first engine built for me by Xtreme in about 2005
  5. Hmmm how can it predate when it came out of my car??? My car is registered as an organ donor, it has donated its heart to your car, and so is now eternally connected
  6. I'll dust off the old girl and come for a spin. I feel I have to represent the 'old boys' being one (maybe the only one?) of the original owners of the 'T' from 2002 . I still can't believe I have owned this car for nearly 11 years now, ohh what a journey
  7. I will try to come out if the 30th is a goer. Lets just hope it is dry....
  8. Just remember your car is a BA, these cars have glass rods, so tread carefully
  9. Probably worth changing the springs due to age, as they are unlikely to retain reliant spring pressure over that many years (Jan '08 to June '13)
  10. BA and BF blocks both have the provision for 2 knock sensors and so are interchangeable. I know this as I years ago converted my BA to BF specs, and with this fitted the 2 knock sensors.
  11. Limited market to cover development costs......
  12. Could also be ring lands, I have tried this some time ago, no compression and leaking into crankcase. Oil smells burnt really quickly, as combustion leaks into crankcase, and actually burns the oil. You can smell this after only a few 100 k's.
  13. Unfortunately I am out for this. Forecast for Sunday just changed to 42 degrees, so too hot for me. I hope you all have a great day.
  14. Sounds good, just a nice leisurely cruise up the coast, I'd be up for that.
  15. Front long bolts = 13 Nm rest 10 Nm If you go much over this you will strip the threads, as they are 6 mm into aluminium. Ensure you apply threadlocker to short bolts.
  16. Seats in N/A head are the same as Turbo, but Exhaust Valves are different as they have to take a lot of heat when opening, and this heat has nowhere to go and is absorbed by the valve. The heat is transferred to the head when the valve closes and makes contact with the seat. Budget of around $100-120 for each Exhaust valve depending on make and quality.
  17. I have an Atomic Flexplate in front of my ZF, no problems what so ever.
  18. If it's not too hot I will pop around for a look see and a chat, maybe someone can show me how to change my mind
  19. I may come out for this one, looks like a decent ride :sungum:
  20. bionicxr6t05 is right, I didn't realize this, so checked my spare engine, and there are the mentioned cutouts on the outside of both rear cam guides, and on the outside of the right front cam guide (see photo). Sorry for giving you a fright, but I always mark mine, so never had the issue.
  21. Unfortunately I think the two sides are identical, so no way to tell if you didn't mark them before they were removed.
  22. Yep, had a taste of the Premium fuel last year when siphoning fuel out of our boat, damn disgusting and could taste it every time I burped for the next 24 hours - Not recommended I am sure
  23. It will as the idea is not to have any leaking air. As long as it provides good pressure, then it should work.
