  1. I am looking at rebuilding my f6 engine, anyone worth recommending in Melbourne. Has anyone checked out like atomic engines (they seem ok ) has anyone bought or rebuild from atomic ?
  2. Gents I have recently taken my wheels to reputable mechanic to get some diagnostics done to see if The engine has internal problems . The car was running like dog on idle to start with. The mechanic has preformed comp test , ( results all cylinders @175 psi except for one at 90 psi) I have been told its a craked piston or ring . The head was not taken off , to I get second opinion , The car has only 50k on the clock , not common for a fpv f6 ? Anyway does anybody have any ideas , if ring or piston needs replacing Can anybody recommend a reputable engine reconditioning mob in the north. What cost should I except ! Thanks
  3. I took my Fpv f6 ute 330 rkw at soundown race course on a track day event, there were Lamborghini,s Ferrari & Porsche . My fpv nearly munched all of these exotics down the straights 250 km. Since race day my ute now has a slight miss on idle . Replaced the plugs today all electrics check ok , Has anyone have any ideas , vacuum leaks , perhaps valve spring issues , not sure but it runs like dog now after replacing the new plugs. Used nkg iridium plugs . My tuner thinks it might be valve springs there standard from factory .
  4. I had some mods done to my everyday work horse f6 fg ute 2010. It ran 278rkw standard no mods on the dyno. After mods 305rkw @800 nm of torque. Upgrades: -New high flow air box and filter from herrods -Herrod piping kit -high flow injectors -flash upgrade and tune. When I stick the car and then come to a complete stop the engine seems to be running on 3 cylinders , I think it maybe valve springs issues ? Does anybody have any ideas ? Also what sort of mods will I need to get 350rkw, Maybe cat upgrade and exhaust will give about 350rkw? What about a intercooler without chopping your chassis any recommendations are welcomed

Had my FG F6 ugraded today with following parts: Turbo pipe kit (in Aluminium) 100lb bosch injectors Performance Fg airbox kit & hi flow air filter ( from herrod) x3 Flash & custom Tune Tuno before the upgrade - 276 rkws - 578 nm( Stock Standard ) with Upgrade - 305 rkws - 789 nm Spent around $ 3.5 K mark Just wondering if the above sounds right or perhaps should I be getting more rkws ? What other mods can I do to get around 320 to 330 rkws without breaking the bank bal ! Perhaps spending some more time on the custom tune will perhaps give some more Rkws and consisted NM curve.
  6. I have been doing some research on finding a good performance shop around the northern ,& western suburbs . I am from the north . So far the reviews are not good , but again everybody has there own opinion And experiences. I have found these new age motor shops like a drive through takeway shops with plenty of packages and upgrades with no guarantee and sometimes perhaps with no real qualifications.It's seems times have not chance since my younger days. I built my first 11 sec Torana in my garage for only 5k , these days modern tech costs you hell of alot more . The boys at pit lane seem good , nizpro not sure ! And has anybody had any experiences with dyne-mite performance . The other blokes in campbellfield seem to have a lot of unhappy custormers. I own fPv f6 ute great car but need seek a good performance shop with realistic expectations and good customers service. I am looking at upgrading my f6 to 350 kw at the rear wheels.It's currently producing 265 rkw stock standard . Can any body recommend a shop and has somebody done some of the their own upgrades with success. Give me some of your thoughts ! I

I just bought FPV F6( 2010) Ute 2 weeks ago with 40K on the clock and when I drove it for the first week it had great low to mid range repsonse (smooth to Snappy Mid Range Punch ) now seems to have lost that punch in the mid range.I havent done anything different and using the same fuel ( Bp 98% oct ) as like last week. Is that normal? does anybody have idea's . The car has had no modifications ( still under Factory warranty ) ANy feed back would be great !! Kos
