  1. I think general opinion is to run the original oil for around 3000k's and then change to a full synthetic. That's what I'll be doing. I'm sure there'll be some contamination from engine build etc.
  2. Your probably right there, would still be interested to see one and how it's installed.
  3. Just noticed the other day on the Ford Aust web site that a factory trans cooler is available for $200. Has any body optioned one of these yet? Might be a good investment for when modding the new FG. Benny
  4. Go and have a talk to Jim at Tunehouse in Marrickville. They have an excellent workshop that you could eat off the floor and a very new and impressive dyno set up. Really nice guy too.
  5. Um pretty sure it wont change the ride height at all by changing to 18 inch wheels. As long as the tyre profile is smaller. For example 17's would have a 45 profile and the 18's will have a 40 profile. If your car isn't already lowered then I would suggest to do this regardless, will make your wheels look bigger and car handle better. Benny.
  6. With the prices I've paid for good tyres and having lowered cars I've learnt pretty quick to keep a close eye on the wear right across the tyre surface. I tend to check them every month or so to make sure my wheels alignments are still ok. I rotate tyres probably every 5ooo k's depending on tyre compound. Camber kit does sound like the solution to your problems.
  7. I think you'll be struggling to find anyone that's been watching their fuel consumption much just yet. Everyone will be too busy putting the foot into it, haha.
  8. Hope this question was for me. I have the Lux Pack 19's which I need to sell. Ben
  9. I've ordered the Racing Hart 19inch RS451 in Black.
  10. I've asked this question before and no one could give me an answer on here. But since then I've been told it's the same as BF +36. I've ordered wheels for my FG and await their arrival as well as the car.
  11. Hulk, Thanks for the write up. Good to here another impressed driver of the FGT. Benny
  12. Moose, I had super lows and compressed super super lows in my BA which made it sit nice and level. If you go SSL in the front I think you'll have to compress the rears quite a bit to get the level look. Becareful doing this as the suspension arms on the rear will be getting very close to each other when you take the nylon type stoppers out between them. You will also need to adjust your rear camber quite a bit to stop the tyres from wearing out on the inside. Going really low is going to effect your handling and ride quality.

    G6et

From what I've been lead to believe a software program change has to be made to allow an LSD to be fitted to the G6ET. The XR and G6ET have different programs.
  14. I don't think there'd be any tyre that could hold the power your putting down Rapid. I'd hate to come back in the next life as one of your tyres. Love the Vid

    G6et

Love them. I would have bought one if they came with an LSD.
  16. Might be good to try some Marangoni tyres. They seem to be a good cheap option that quite a few people are impressed with. That or go with wider wheels and tyres.
  17. Genebaby have you soken to anyone at DBA and asked why this may have happened? Are the disks 4000's? Do your disks have the temperature paint markings on the edges? I would be chasing DBA for some advice. I can give you a contact at DBA if you like. Benny
  18. I'm sure Ford will have to start selling these alot seeing th FG sedan doesn't lock either.
  19. I think at Ford they refer to them as "Scrivets". Can be a real pain to get out. Seventytwo has the method I use. The best tool is a fork shaped device kinda like a snakes fork tongue to get under them and lift them while undoing them with a screw driver.
  20. White looks good. That would be my pic out of what you've displayed.
  21. You serious. That's not good Hustler. Hope mine wont do that. Keep us informed of what happens. I'm sure your impressed.
  22. 91 Ron just hit 171.9 in Sydney today. This is out of control.
  23. I'm guessing your refering to axle tramping.. I would say you have a spring that is slightly shorter than the other but I don't think the shorter spring will cause tramping.. Your shocks wont effect ride height. There are other people on here that have experienced tramping that may be able to help out.
  24. My delivery date was 30th but has now been put back to 11th of July. Grrrrr. I've been told it's due to the Lux Pack and other added options.
  25. Looks good. Nice choice of wheels.
