  1. I've had darker than legal tint on all my cars and have never had any issues with police etc. Can't say that an insurance company wont deny a claim though. Just the risk you take I guess.
  2. Most memorable would be my Bother Inlaws old R33 GTR Vspec. Had full HKS kit with big twin turbos and made 380awkw (C&V built motor). Acceleration was crazy with all 4 wheels spinning in first and second. Very scary when a car breaks all 4 wheel traction as it trys to jump across lanes unlike a rear wheel drive which you can steer.
  3. The previous models had to be flashed with the WDS to set to Taxi mode I think. Not sure on the FG but ask the guys at your service department, should be able to be done. Benny
  4. That looks tuff. Would've loved to get one of these but the FGT will have to do. Enjoy the new toy.
  5. Ok guys this is the update but not a good one. I've spoken with K&N USA and they have an OEM filter that has been sent over. The new replacement is just going into development but I've been told that it wont be available for purchase until January next year. Going to be a long wait by the looks of it. I guess these things take time. Might have to chase someone like BMC Benny
  6. Looks like your missing a bolt. This bracket I believe is to support the dump pipe. Not unusual for bolts to go missing in this area with the amount of temperature variances.
  7. Smicky, If you opt for a cheaper tyre you are most likely going to lose performance. Like most things you get what you pay for. I've had the S03's on previous cars and they are one of the best gripping tyres around but they wont last long at all. I could only manage 20k out of a set. If you do pay a bit more for a tyre, say the Michellin PS2 then they will last longer and still give excellent performance. That's why they cost more. You might be able to try these new Marangoni Mythos that a few people are running here. Not sure on price but they are grippy from what's been said. Benny
  8. Guys, I will send an e-mail and try to get an update on progress. Benny
  9. I wanna take that thing to a Dyno day and see what everyone's reactions are...hehe.

    Need Help

5mm is alot. I'm guessing that the inner spokes are hitting on the calipers. The best way to fix this is new wheels but a spacer may be able to be fitted to the hub before the wheel is put on. I don't believe they are legal but if you have enough stud length and get good enough amount of threads on with the nuts it should be ok. Be careful doing this though.
  11. DjGsTa, You just need some copper cable similar to the cables currently supplying the horns. You can buy some crimp connectors to make the connections but you'll need the special crimpers to do the job. If not then I would suggest soldering the connections and heat shrinking them to insulate. All this stuff can be bought from somewhere like Jaycar. Benny
  12. If your turbo has had it's day then I probably wouldn't be putting an FG turbo on there. I would be getting the one you've got repaired. The one you have has the ability to deliver much more power and will be a cheaper option. If you decide to run the FG turbo I'm assuming you will need to change the tune to to make full utilisation of it's low down power delivery. Talk to Simon at Nizpro as I think he is thinking of doing what you are asking to one of his Falcons to determine the limits of the new FG GT3582R.
  13. Dave, What tyres are fitted to your car? I have the 19 inch SP Sport Maxx and they seem ok for turn in. Not sure if there is going to be a much bigger front sway bar available for the FG. The one that's on there standard is huge. Adjusting your front camber and tyre pressures may improve the turn in with out spending too much. Other brand of tyres will make a traction improvement.
  14. My thoughts are the same as Senna's. When the car is cold it'll be dumping alot more fuel in to keep it idleing and with dekas this could be compounding that. Most cats wont be working at this time as they are not hot enough to burn the excess fuel, I couldn't see the exhaust system being hot enough to ignite unburnt fuel so I'm a little undecided as to what might be happening. I don't think it's too much to worry about as long as it's not backfiring loudly.
  15. Great vid and awesome sound, seems like plenty of traction too. How is traction with this sort of power? What rubber are you using and size?
  16. Lol, I love this clip. This guy has done a great job acting this out. "Keeevoooo has got a big d*ckooooo"
  17. I haven't really tried too hard to perfect a launch yet. 1st gear has quite a bit of wheel spin if going for the just floor it approach. Standing second gear with no stall bogs down too much. I'll have to try a second gear stall. Seems a bit hard to ease the throttle in first due to the ratio. Although today went well with a victory against team Supra in 1st gear with a little wheel spin, TC on.
  18. I think it depends alot on the time of day you're driving on the road. If you drive around on the weekends late at night or early morning then the chances are quite a bit higher. The police do use the RBT excuse to pull over vehicles that they are interested in looking at. This may be for modification inspections or drug suspision.

    My G6et

Great looking car Vfast. I'll keep an eye out for you around the traps.
  20. Chris, This might not be exactly what your looking for but I have this from some photos I took the other day. Benny
  21. Oh and I have more pics to come of other things when my new items get delivered today.
  22. This pic will explain the differences. From right to left BA-BF/Typhoon-After market. Benny
  23. The tyres in those manufacturers that would be best to look at are the Goodyear Eagle F1 GS-D3 or the Dunlop SP Sport Maxx. There are other brands that have better tyres but the cost will increase. Benny
  24. Nice work Pat. Keep us posted. Benny
  25. Took the door trims off to change the speakers with Alpine units I had in stock. Not sure if the mistery of where all the speakers were in the FG was solved but each speaker in the doors has a small tweeter in the middle. So when counting them all up there are 11 speakers. Benny
