I did like the review of the W427 and at does look like a nice bit of kit. But what tmac450 has said above seems to be right on the money.

Nice stuff xa-mont. Mine was running quite rich on the factory tune. Just cleaning this up with no extra boost will give you more power. Just need a tune and some injectors now. Benny

I too looked at the GTI and R32 before buying my FG. I think the Golf would be a good little performer around the city with great economy and reasonable resale. But for me the deciding factors were the FG XR6T has bulk power compaired to the Golf and plenty more room to fit people in and interior options. Disadvantages for the XR is more fuel costs, bad resale and maybe a little less build quality, not that I've had any issues with mine so far. Oh and one more advantage for the FG is 300rwkw with injectors and a tune. Gotta be happy with that. Benny

I'm pretty sure they are not interchangeable as the bolt holes are different. Not 100% sure but someone else maybe able to confirm. Benny

How accurate do you think your N95 is xa mont? I've been meaning to get out with my G Tech and do a few runs but haven't had a chance.

For any of you guys that are chasing 19 inch R spec tyres then an option is the Bridgestone RE01R in 245/35/19. Not a cheap tyre by any means in that size at $510ea but they get great reviews. This is the only R spec tyre that I can find in 19 inch. Benny

Vic, One little mod I did do with my air intake install was to move the seal on the bonnet back approx 20mm so it seals around the new XR8 intake. If this is not done then the seal hangs down in front of the intake mouth due to the intake needing to be cut back to fit under the bonnet. To move the seal this just requires two new holes drilled in the bonnet to relocate the plastic pins the seal is monuted with. Benny

My dislike for this show is ever increasing. What a poor review of both the R8 and the F6. No performance times were given, they didn't race them around the test circuit and they claim they are just as good as each other with no clear leader. What a load of sh*t. They shouldn't have wasted their own time and everyones viewing. Benny

Redrilled FG ones. They are the same rating as the BA/BF 72lb.

Johnoz06, Have you tried to get your hands on some RE01R's? They will fit on your 19 inch wheels and come in the size required. They get a good review for R spec tyres. Benny

I know the OEM FG injectors are different to the BA/BF in length but I'm unsure if the dekas fit. I've installed the Nizpro modified injectors and they are doing a treat. Have a talk to them if you like.

This car is an ex Newcastle car which a company uses to collect and transport money from businesses. The person that drives the car wears plain clothes and I'm pretty sure carries a gun, similar to Amourguard. I was a little shocked when I first saw this service. Benny

I have one of these and there is a thread around here somewhere with detailed pics. I seriously doubt you are going to get 11kw out this mod. If you ring Fern Tree Gulley Auto they will be able to get you the genuine parts required for approx $190. Replacement after market panel air filters are not available yet. Benny

Not a huge fan so far. To many 4WD's and not enough fast car stuff. It may get better though.

The car will be fine. No need for a retune.

I too have noticed this with mine when it's cold and at idle speed in reverse. It's only very slight but it's there. I haven't had any issues while driving or under hard acceleration. Benny
