Hey all, Finally got the car back, and after a hiccup with a loose hose clamp on the new fuel pump, I've finally got stage 1 complete. Upgrades were as followed. DBA 4000 cross drilled & slotted rotors front and back 4x4 brake pads front and back Munroe GT gas shocks front and back King Spring SSL springs in the back 4" Dump, 4" cat, 3.5" cat back - all stainless with twin tips 42lb high flow injectors 044 fuel pump Custom tune Car goes like a shower of sh*t now! I have got my stock 18's back on the car now, but still need 2 tyres - hense the XR6 mags on in the photos. This is stage 1 of my plans - stage 2 is plennum, cooler, air intake, turbo housing etc etc - but more details of that will be up later! And a few quick photos

Mate I dont remember where I said im in financial trouble and cant afford to fix my car? Think logically for a second, why should I pay for it all if I can get it from fraud for free - its worth a shot. Thanks guys, and FYI - the same shop im taking my car to, does work on another F6, complete with turbo upgrade etc etc and our local Ford dealership still does all his warranty.

Hey guys! If you saw my other thread, you'll know im getting some work done to the F6. Got a call this morning from the shop saying the follow is stuffed: An engine mount Gear box mount Rear diff bushes CV Boots The car is lowered on king springs and Munroe shocks, now has a 4" exhaust, injectors and has been tuned etc. Just wondering how I'll go getting this through warranty? I have kept my servicing up and my log book all checks out, plus I had 18 months new car warranty when I bought my car second hand, and that 18 months is up soon. Some people have said provided I dont take it back to where I bought it, other Ford dealerships will do warranty on the car as they get paid either way and dont care if the car is modified. I believe the 4 problems that I listed should get covered under warranty, only thing im unsure on is the CV boots, as I think they f*cked out from being low, but I have since raised it. Any advice or info would be great as I really dont want to have to repalce that stuff out of my own pocket. Cheers guys!

The BF and BF2 are the better models I believe, due to a revised rear end? The body kit is also different between BA and BF, and the colour coding between the BF and BF2. that's as much as I know, the real FPV buffs will know the rest

I've got a BF and know what that's like! Changed from 20's to 18's again and the problem was solved. So going along with what djkice said, maybe a suspension/wheel upgrade/change is needed to solve your problem? As for the clutch, if its only 1st gear then I wouldn't get too up in arms about it. Better yet, dont use 1st gear

I've just got the Monza upgraded cooler at the moment. Next on the list is waste gate modification, plenum, PWR cooler, pipe work and some other goodies.

Hey crew! Just dropped the F6 off this morning and am already eager to get her back. I finally sold my 4x4 so thanks to that I can finally do the much need maintenance and upgrades to my beloved Typhoon. Here's the list so far: Brakes: DBA 4000 Cross drilled and slotted rotors front and back "Race Brakes" Pads front and back (from Race Brakes in Sydney, meant to be a really good pad) Suspension: Munroe GT Gas Lowered Shocks front and back King Springs SSL's for the rear (raising it up from my 2" compressed SSL's) Performance: 4" dump, 4" cat and 4" cat back system all in stainless with mandrel bends. 42lb injectors Bigger fuel pump Flash tune for 12psi plus the other adjustments Also getting my stocko's back, and putting some new rubber on those, including 255/35 semi-slicks. Mainly for the looks, not so much that I have traction issues just yet. Then a few other little things like its getting a service, few bushes underneath replaced and I believe I've got a f*cked engine/gearbox/diff mount, so hopefully I can get that under warranty. Also wanted to ask what people expect I'd get from those small performance upgrades? Will have photos buy the end of the week :D

If you are in QLD, forget it - you will get ass raped, no exemption. Also your insurance wont be covered if you have an accident in it. You will lose your license for driving it due to losing so many points from the amount of fines. Plus the fines will be in excess of $1000 Buy a sh*t box and drive it around and do up the F6 alot more.

Did try a few places around Ipswich Ace, not 100% if I tried that one but the best I could get in Ipswich was about $300 more than that price, excluding shipping. That price I got includes shipping from Race Brakes in Sydney.

Hey all, Just ordered some DBA 4000 cross-drilled and slotted front & rear brakes for my BF F6. Also ordered a set of rear pads (have front pads waiting). All up I paid $1,320 for them shipped to my door, for front and back rotors and rear pads. Reason for the topic is, is this a fair price? I thought it wasnt too bad. Cheers

Hey guys, Got my 20's sold, getting my stock 18's back (BF F6 mags) and need new rear tyres. Going to start cranking some more power out of my car soon, as I just sold my Hilux. I want to put Semi-Slicks on the back (future planning + wank factor) so what is the widest I can go? The car is lowered on King Super Super Lows. Looked at 245/40/18 for stock sizes, but would like a 265/35/18 or 265/40/18, or possibly bigger if I can (but I think 265 is pushing it on stock rims?) Did a quick search, found some info but not heaps. Also, what brand for the Semis? Federals? I live in Brisbane if that helps with brands. Cheers. Mitch!

In QLD its illegal to drive with out front/rear bumpers due to if you have an accident involving a pedestrian, the pedestrian could get hurt alot more than when your bumpers are on. As you'd expect, there is alot of metal under those bumpers, sharp edges etc, and if you hit a pedestrian it would give them some nasty cuts etc and make their injuries worse. My thoughts on this have always been if I've hit a pedestrian hard enough to give them some serious/life threatening injuries from the metal under my front bar, I probably would have had a fair amount of force behind me to have killed them also. Ive been defected for having my front bar off, and ive been defected for having rear wing/spoiler mounts on the boot for the same reasons 'butchering pedestrians'

Wow, I feel for you guys. Our initial plate purchase prices are more expensive here, but I'd rather that then yearly payments. Now I can justify the $2,195 I spent on plates!

x2!! You cant do that to us :(

Hey guys, So, back when my car was really low, its rubbed out the CV boot's (just the boots as far as I can tell) and has leaked out a fair bit of grease. Because the search feature wont search anything under 3 characters long, I cant search 'CV replacement' - so anyone who has done this, is there a tutorial on how to drop out the CV's so I can either replace them, or have the boots done. I was concerned that they have pressed in bearings, and isnt a DIY job? I have access to a hoist at an exhaust shop so I can get under the car - if I need specialist tools, what are the chances of an exhaust shop having them? If I need specialist tools, what are they so I can ask? Thanks in advance crew

This is the exact same idea I had floating around in my head, and couldnt get over why it couldnt/had not been done this way. I will be looking into doing this. You should do us a write up on it!! Pics etc If not, when ever I do it I will take photos.

I sent this text message to my entire phone book: "Hey dude, I need someone that has known me for longer than 12 months to confirm my identity. I am applying for a job with Ray White down the coast. Please call #### #### and ask for Mr C. Lyon and he will ask a few questions. Cheers!!" I currently work with Ray White in Ipswich (not far from the coast) and the number I supplied was for Sea World Resort on the coast. The joke is, for the slow, people ring up Sea World asking to talk to Mr Sea Lion - I got sooooooo many people, some of the people calling me back said the operators/receptionists were starting to really get the sh*ts!!

I use just car. 20 yr old male, rating 2 I pay $1500 a year.

Exactly! Im 20 and have a BF F6. I got a loan for the car, but paid a good deposit, and could have paid cash up front for it BUT, I did a lease/loan program through my company, and it works out better for me to make monthly payments, and let my cash collect interest in the bank At 20, I've already owned a few high powered cars and was 'ready' to step to take on the F6's power, but I never gave the F6 a full gut full or started to getting into it until about 3-4 months of having owned it. Its coming up on 12 months of owning it and its still standard - I'll get around to making it go quicker one day!

It doesnt look to bad over all actually. Over priced yes but I dont mind it.

"modifications were done 2 weeks before the crash" wonder if this is what caused the crash too?
