bad times about your engine! You said you wern't giving it hard throttle, in that case who tuned your car and what fuel were you running?

I buy cheap for rear, Good tyres for front Nexen N3000's for rear, soft compound but wear faster but you can thash it and not care about tyres as they are $175 each, but everyone has they're opinions and this is just the ony that works for me cos im a hoon

there is a bazillion threads on this mate haha, 03 ---> early 06 have htew weaker conrods and are limited to 280RWKW, 4 speed auto and 5 speed manuals WILL blow up with any mods. everyone with mods run either purpose built 4 speeds (which still dont last for ever), or 6 speed

To help out a bit, I have 336kw at the wheels in my T, My mates LS1 has 245rwkw. Both are utes with low K's, 9/10 times he has a better launch than me (still have burnout 245's on the rear wich are hard compund though), but they are easy to catch after 2nd gear, wheel spin is the killer - my mate never seems to have this drama as his car isn't powerful enough to worry about spinning in 1st, second, mid third...

yer mate I have a BA F6 ure, and there is no way in hell you could mod it (with that list) and get it under that total price, its pretty good value hey considering I bought mine for that price a year ago stock standard!

good soft compound tyres get me sticking to the ground in all of second gear with a careful shift, but it has to be good bitumen not that pebbley rough crap, As others will say too, I think it depends a lot on how aggressive the tune is, good tunes tent to have a very linear power curve, thus no immediate load causing loss of traction, if ya get me

Yeah im the same, I dont have 370KW but with 330+ I have never had surge ever, that's with hard cornering, doughnuts or straight line.

na then it would always be there under throttle, not just at the start for a "split second"

yer I fit my ETM line on the weekend and the difference in this cheap line is that all the fittings are cheap steel ones and not SPEEDFLOW fittings, given each speedflow fitting cost around $25 this kit is not woth it hey

I bought my first car when I was in year 11 and did it up for when I got my licence in december the next year. I loved Kombi vans at the time, not for the speed obviously but for how laid back and cruzey they are haha, I still have it but havent driven it in bout 2 years. When I bought it in 2002 It caught on fire and that was the end of the slow air cooled 4 cylinder engine When I was studying I built an alloy Rover 3.5L V8 and converted it. All finished All finished with hidden front mount radiator at Motorplex, (I didn't clome close to beating that porsche by the way) The germans suck balls at kombi auto electrics though. that's why it hasn't started in 2 1/2 years... Yer its no F6 but I love that car.

what made you not impressed with the SMB dump and cat? fitment or performance? I had the impression that SMB was great gear as its the only dump to stay 4" diameter and not taper off to 3 1/2" like all the others

Better off leavin cover on mate, anything to get some weight over the rear hoops on these utes the better, and yer XF is right there is less linear aerodynamic drag with the tray up. people who have it down are idiots- or are from SOR hahahahahahha

yeah I am the same, sometimes ill go weeks without having it on, its such a pain in the ass with it being a two person job to get the thing on and off too, car looks awesome, good move changing those tail lights from the first photo by the way hahahah

Hey RTD, I bought my F6 from Canberra about a year ago now and had it transported by truck by Autotrans. Its cheaper for rail but there had been two derailments within 4 months at the time so I though f*ck THAT haha, Yer it got here relatively fast, 4-5 days and was sweet when it got here besides a flat tyre wich I pumped up and was good again. that was $1100 well spent given how much cars cost over east compared to west coast prices. hope that helps

haha that's gold, shut down in a poor mans porsche hahahaha, Hey by the way guys for all you NOR people, there is a new 1/4 mile strip marked out at the to of Ocean Reef Road !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The finish line is bright yellow. Very simular to a suzuki yellow come to think of it. Good bitumen and great on quiet nights as there are no side streets or view from other cars other than the ones travelling the other way. Im a bit weary of the accuracy of who ever put it there but I think its about 445m not 400m so.............

dude at the moment the only way your going to get a job in mining is with a qualification. Its not like everyone thinks " ill just get a job in the mines and get 100K a year". that doesn't happen. Sorry mate but the odds are really against you at the moment espacially with a lot of operations slowing down
