  1. Incorrect, torque is multiplied at the wheels, think back to basic physics with levers & gears.
  2. I'm going to north gong pub instead.
  3. No word on the driver which makes me think he was well enough to run from the scene. If he did top work with abandoning his mate.
  4. Car has been recovered in a not so great condition. Someone from Nissan Silvia.com spotted it on the back of a Tilt tray & informed police & the owner. Passenger is in hospital with serious injuries which he probably had coming to him. It was used for a couple of robberies of servos for smokes & booze & I guess they ran out of driving talent.
  5. Some of the best cruises I've been on have been in the wet. No reason why they just ended up being great runs.
  6. I'm a definate on the maybe list. Couple of mates have been away for the last few weeks & I think saturday night will be spent at the pub catching up.
  7. try about 2-3 years ago. Vid has been doing the rounds on the net for ages.
  8. If I'm lucky I may be riding in an FG possibly G6E Turbo or XR6 Turbo, my mate may be borrowing one for that weekend from work yay.
  9. Can I bring the lexus
  10. Has the damaged rear bar been fixed yet?
  11. Just to clarify its not my Car, its owned by a fellow member of the Toymods car club. Please contact Joel or the Police with any relevant info. To give an indication of the type of dedication the owner has, he has driven to NSW from SA just to attend a Dyno day & drag night. He has owned this car for a number of years and a lot of blood, sweat & tears has gone into rebuilding to the condition its now in. When he first moved to SA his house was broken into & wheels and other parts destined for this car were stolen. He then had to replace all that, has only in the last 6 months got it back on the road to now be faced with the current scenario.
  12. He has tuned probably 80% of the cars in the drift series lol. I've had mixed results with Adam, I had my old supra tuned at his old shop in Moorebank. He was more concerned with playing with his mates Race 32 GTR then tuning my car. Which as a paying customer gave me the sh*ts. The tune was average at best. Peak power was only just above the standard ecu (no longer had a big flat spot between 3000-4000rpm which was the reason of switching to aftermarket management) but the car used close to 30-50% more fuel then it did previously too. AFR's were sitting at flat 12's which is fine for a turbo car but not a NA car running 10.7:1 Comp . I know a few other cars that have gone through including someone that bought a engine/turbo setup off Adams old blue sprinter. Exactly the same setup yet it never made the power it made on Adam's car. They went to a new tuner and got the desired result. There are plenty of people that rave about his abilities to tune a car & no doubt he does have knowledge especially with Haltech's as he used to work for them. Just my experience left alot to be desired & a few of other cars from the Toyota club I'm involved in we went there based on the reputation and didn't get anything near the result we were expecting.
  13. I like stories
  14. Not starting in Drive would be easier to spread. Dan's isn't as stupid globally speaking.
  15. Page 4 he reveals its all a joke. Just a troll trying to stir some ppl up. Air cooled diff pic is just as funny.
  16. Brakes are smaller but much cheaper to upgrade so not a huge issue, they are fine for street work but fade quickly after a few big stops. Engine is the biggest difference money wise if you are planning on making decent power.
  17. Just sold my 05 BA MK2 With T56 & textralia twin plate for $20k, it had 68000kms.
  18. I'be been managing 2-3 a month atm. Got done the other day in my Lexus freshly fitted with the 19's off the ford. Taking a while with the magna infront. Young Asian copper starts looking at the front drivers wheel with his torch comes up to my window & asks how I have found the Hankook tyres. Answer few questions regarding them and he sends me on my way.
  19. Used to old forums without pop-ups, people running pop-up blockers or some forums have configurable user settings ie no-popup, email notificiations or not etc. Being double sure someone got the message.
  20. Yah not kinda cool at freeway speeds, luckily the car broke away very smoothly so I just eased off the throttle & brought it back. Brown pants moment if I ever had one.
  21. Spotted my rear end out the window yesterday, was overtaking in 5th gear leaned on the throttle and sideways at 110kmph. Not fun, old mate in the BMW 335i beside me looked just as scared as me. Standard wheels = ghey in the wet.
  22. Can't launch as well though not without some kind of antilag to get boost off the line.
  23. Err bankwest is now owned by CBA so they are safe. As for ING, they are massive I used to work there and can definately say atleast in Australia they are profitable & very safe. They are like the 5th largest bank in the world in terms of deposits held. The arm in Europe which is not performing well is the superannuation & insurance side of things not the banking side. As for the banks even the foreign owned ones ie ING, Rabo Plus etc they employ close to 1000 Aussies each keeping them in jobs is always good. Spend it though and enjoy. Rates will be down to 3.5%-4% on savings accounts soon & it just isn't worth it.
  24. rack up like a 10k phone bill & get them to pay it.
