  1. Was a great run had an awesome time, makes me want to buy another XR6 Turbo. My mate was getting sea sick in the passenger seat of the Lexus lol.
  2. Haha that was my mate, little mira with the 660c Turbo 3 cylinder that could. He is a mad bastard.
  3. I'm a possible if you don't mind a lexus coming. Car needs a good run before a dyno day on sunday. Only a maybe at this stage, if I'm doing nothing I'll shop up at liverpool.
  4. Dude its farkin marinated in special salt, sauce would be a crime. Cooking meh personal preference.
  5. Take 1 500g Rump Steak
  6. he ran a website called a u t r o n I c . com when he wasn't directly associated with the company & advertised features of the ecu that weren't developed yet I'd hardly says that's very useful to the public which is evaluating a product to buy. Infact its misleading advertising. The toyota club I'm involved in swear by autronics but majority of the guys avoid Ray Hall like the plague.
  7. Try SAS (Silverwater Auto Service) for Autronic stuff. Vipec is setup by Ray Hall who sprouted plenty of sh*t on the capabilities of Autronic when they first came to fruition but wasn't part of the business. He tarnished their name quite a bit by making big promises that weren't delivered. I'd personally avoid Vipec because the man is a douche.
  8. Fark don't come on here for 2 months & miss 100 pages
  9. I dare say the 5L V8 will be barely any faster then the existing ones except for the supercharged version if it eventuates. Peak power is one thing, but if weight isn't drop significantly then a peaky 5L is going to struggle to get the big sedan off the line. Once on song it'll be sweet but off the mark it'll be a slug.
  10. Stop driving like a girly man. My standard T got 24L per 100km in the first week I owned it
  11. Given how much HRT stooged him towards the end, I'd think they're would actually be a bit of resentment to the Expensive Daewoo camp considering what he did for them.
  12. Lol finally someone else that doesn't feel the cold. Day cruises on any of these roads are quite frustrating. Hard to keep the pack together due to traffic & theres a 99% chance you'll be doing less then the suggested corner speeds due to oncoming traffic which includes tourist coaches & the geriatric in the camry infront. I might try and make the next cruise, will be nice to hear a xr6 turbo again even if it is driving away from my boat.
  13. Stock BA MK2 6 Speed Manual
  14. Most of been a tornado *boom tish*
  15. that's only a ghey 5L though.
  16. Might want to tell that to Lexus. My 4L V8 is the quietest engine you will ever hear (well you probably won't hear it lol) until I put on an exhaust on it. At idle the only engine bay noises are really the squeaky pulleys as they are now 17 years old. Can balance a 50c coin on its end on the inlet manifold & rev the thing out to 5000rpm before it finally starts moving & eventually falls. Strength people have put 25psi in with stock 10:1 compression & it didn't go boom.
  17. Don't buy one with Vic plates ROD-171 (if it still wears them) as that was the press car lol.
  18. Blue TS50 with stroker looks bomdiggiddy.
  19. I was at work experience at Motor Magazine when they had one back in the day. When for a run in it. Not bad, came close to spinning the top of second if it hit a bump in the road etc. Low speed drive train shunt they refer to is no worse then any car I've been in with a T56 in it. Revving out the one I was in was pretty sweet I thought, was the first Ford I'd been in that I would ever consider buying as I was a devout Expensive Daewoo nut back then.
  20. I can't remember anything resembling what I'd consider lag on my XR6 Turbo. Well I haven't driven a V8 that was just as punchy from around 2000rpm anyway. If your XR6 Turbo standardish ie below 280rwkw is erractically breaking into wheel spin you need better tyres. Power above 300rwkw regardless of whether its a NA V8 or Turbo is going to result in some amount of wheelspin when using WOT in lower gears on the road. Hulk go look at the 80-120kmph times for a standard FG Xr6T in even 5th gear its quick then an SS in 3rd. So which one is making the seemless power & low down torque again.
  21. that's only the dummy motor for fitting. If you read the early posts he isn't showing the koeniggsegg motor until its all finshed. But you are correct that it is a highly developed version of the 4.6L Ford Modular engine.
  22. Low roof line looks sh*thouse on the VE.
  23. Huntley hill climb which is no longer run after a death where an Open Wheeler went into a tree. Drivers briefing pretty much says theres a nice S bend at the top near the tree, come into the first part sideways & you'll probably not exit the corner. Anyway was in my 1984 Supra with later model 3L NA which was considerably worked & an awesome suspension setup but running cheap as sh*t 215/65/14 bob jane specials which were bald due to the massive amounts of rear camber, it was the best car to steer as you could dial the car in so well on the throttle. Launch the car touch of wheel spin on the 40 degree incline, flat out up the hill grab second & hold to the limiter (110kmph at 7000rpm). Flat through the fork and lift off slightly to enter the S bend, arse end steps out on the car as it would get lift off oversteer nail the throttle magically move the wheel somehow correctly, slide it through the bend torching the inside tyres as the LSD is worn. Straighten the car up and go across the line. Tootle around to the staging lane to head back down the hill beaming with a massive smile. Jump out of the car & see my mates pissing themselves laughing and applauding that had done their run already and witnessed mine. Apparently old mate in the commentry box above the s-bend nearly had a coronary. Got back down the bottom of the hill and another guy of the forums who was an official for the day advised it would probably be best if I did it straighter next time but commended my effort. Went on to win my class for the day with the time I set on that run. I honestly don't know how I did it to this day, I just instinctively grabbed the wheel countered the drift and kept the throttle pinned, switched it back then straighten it on the exit. Also ran the car at WSID and managed a 14.789 in it, the impressive part was I was being run down by a Turbo charged corolla that couldn't launch he managed 14.790.
  24. WTF http://www.corsasport.co.uk/board/viewthre...0761&page=1 I think that build redefines mental.
