  1. I just read that, turns out the RTA and his b*tch Redflex are planning to shaft more drivers in the arse again. Redflex is listed on the ASX and their share price is bound to go up. Instead of making a dirty profit, I propose that every working Australia contribute $20 to buy out the company so it can be dismantled.

    Bmw M5 Ute

I have mixed feelings, great workmanship on the conversion. But many would shout blasphemy on this one, a perfectly good M5 just got boganised.
  3. Rather that crushing the vehicle, they could just do a forced sale of the vehicle, it would help the owner pay off the fines.
  4. Hehe. The RTA can only fine FPV drivers so many times before a loss of license occurs. Guess they're getting creative with money making in the form of personalised plates.
  5. I'd be quite happy if they used the same platform for the next gen Mustang and Falcon (with different wheel bases). I want the best of both worlds: the Mustang's superior handling and Falcon's IRS. I just want an affordable, fast and comfortable 4 door sedan. It would be cool if the next gen Falcon was a mid-sizer - less weight, better fuel economy, sharper handling. Ford's version of the BMW 3/5 series.

    Is She A Keeper ?

At least you already know one of things you'll be arguing about (Ford vs Holden). Meh, no need to take it too seriously. A girl can entertain you without risking a speeding ticket.
  7. The Falcon is as iconic as the Mustang is in the States. I'm definitely grabbing one from the last batch. It'll be there to remind me of the good old days in the year 2037, when I'm 50 and everyone's driving personal transportation pods.
  8. Everyone needs to let off some steam, we've had people getting done for 4km/h over and having a rant. Technically it broke the law but it's ridiculous stupid.
  9. The other day, I got off at Redfern Station and realised my weekly was invalid. Talked to one of the station attendants who directed me to the gate where I was ambushed by 2 transit officers and fined $200. My local station doesn't have a gate - I was in a hurry and forgot to buy a ticket. In the past, station attendants have been understanding and friendly enough to let me out. I took the legit approach and got fined, yet gate jumpers get away easily. This has got me thinking - City Rail and their Transit Officers are dirty - all about revenue raising. 1. Transit Officers are a drain on tax payer and commuter money. They earn 50-80K for walking around, fining people, and doing bugger all. 2. I never see them walking around trains at night - they're useless for security. 3. Because of their unjustifiably high salaries, Sydney train tickets cost more than they should. 4. Half of Sydney's stations have no ticket gates, some seriously lack ticket machines and counters during peak time. Why not spend the transit officer salary budget on more gates and machines? 5. In the past, I've almost been fined for travelling back one station too far on a return ticket. Train was an express that skipped my station, a ticket with a bit of extra range would have cost the same, stupid machines don't allow return tickets to go back past the purchasing station. I lost my respect for transit officers a long time ago, but this fine incident has pissed me off. If I ever see a disorderly person assaulting a transit officer, I'd probably high five him and not call the cops.

    Poor Mans Porsche

    I think it's pedal powered
  11. You do that smick, lemme know how your car drives after all that female hair clogs your turbos.
  12. Smick, rough spitting engines are for classic cars. These days, smooth performance is in, even for muscle cars. Besides, the loose interior panels of the Mustang will give it that Detroit character in no time.
  13. Double standards - aren't we all guilty of that ? I used to tutor high school students and tell them not to procrastinate, then I return to uni and party when I have an assignment due in 2 days.

    Telstra

Optus cable packages are quite generous now: I'm on 150GB (75 peak / 75 off-peak) for $60/month. iPrimus and TPG might offer more gigabytes for your dollar, but Optus cable's reliability is rock solid. In 6 years I've only experienced 1 outage; plus no drop outs nor peak time lag. Not a fan of bigpond, $60/month only buys 12GB. Telstra tries to justify that with free bonus content that isn't all that useful.
  15. Porsche has been earning an average profit of $US28,000 per car. That's a ridiculous margin - about time Nissan introduced a bit of competition.
