look at the original date on the thread

I'm currently at work celebrating our launch as a bank & playing Nintendo Wii woot.

Lol got a 22nd in the city that night I'll join the skirt wearers too.

Ended up doing a nasho run weel 2 cos we did down & back. Mate came pretty close to losing his job too (he currently drives an excel). Came out of a slow (35kmph) corner & he gave it the boot. Caught some leaves on the outside of the corner. Side to side looking at reflector signs & speed limit signs not cool lol. After that he learnt not to accelerate until the car was actually straight. Damn quick for a factory car. Gearbox was a bit clunky for something with only 3000kms on the clock & the same goes for the backlash in the diff. Does do duelies though which was interesting for a non lsd car (skids performed on driveway of private property). Other thing that is weird is how low the seating position is. Without increasing the seat height you can barely see over the dash. Awesome fun though, so much nicer thrashing a car that you know you can drop it back off on monday & not have to worry about the wear & tear. PS Think I saw RJS car at one point in the night as well

Should be cruising mac pass in a G6E Turbo tomorrow night, give me a wave if you see me. I'll be in the passenger seat.

My T is ex telstra as well. By the condition it was more then likely owned by a 50 year old exec like my dad. 6 speed manual with premium sound & towpack. Couple small scratches in the paint (looks like a shopping trolley mark). Other then that in good nick, ie unlike most BA it has no brake shudder at all.

Agreed anything on standard tyres, even in standard trim isn't hard to step out.

Gold/yellowish Typhoon cop car spotted on saturday night on route with a Territory on Mulgoa road & the M4. Followed them to Northern road where about 8 cop cars had a laser stopped outside the Golf Club not sure what the GO was but there sure was a lot of rubberneckers in the driveway too.

fatigue sucks hey

You should look in the forsale section on here. Few bargains around atm If your going for a manual, clutches are pretty weak too, load it up off the line or in 3rd/4th gear & it will slip if its gone.

Banks will not use security questions when doing marketing/cold calls. Those details are only needed to establish a persons identity when a transaction needs to be completed over the phone or they are doing an outbound call in regards to updating details or missing information on a recently lodged application. A marketing call is simply that, they shouldn't be disclosing any existing client information so have no need to confirm any personal/security details. As others of said security question need to be asked before they can disclose any information regarding personal information they hold as they need to ascertain that they are speaking with the correct person & not some random that has answered the phone. I have worked in operations departments for ING Direct & now NAB so I deal with this sh*t from day to day. Easiest way to put a client at ease is to look at their history & go I can see you logged onto our website last at XXXX time & then they will proceed with the call. Failing that referring them to the contact centre is standard procedure.

Don't have to sell just no point having a car worth 30k sitting at home going nowhere 6 days a week.

I know but he complained about me pushing him a bit on the last Mac Pass run a while back & my car was completely stock back then, that was a nuts run though. Having a stock car just makes it more interesting. Car is listed on here at the moment. Will list on one of the car sites when they do a special deal lol I'm cheap. Selling up buying a sh*tter to park at the station whilst doing nights. Will save hard and hopefully get back in the modding game mid to the end of next year when I am spending my own money instead of a banks. Not sure whether to go back to jap cars or maybe some Typhoons may be around the 30k mark by then.

Pfft you just need to try harder. Sounds like you guys had the cruise we should of had on that friday night. I might make one more XR6 cruise if I'm lucky.

One of the managers (indirect) found out I was leaving at my old job when someone handed her my farewell card. Comment on the card is "err I just found out you are leaving..." When I left my first full time job the reaction on my boss was priceless. Walked into his office sat down & placed the letter on his desk & his face just dropped. He was an asshat and no idea it was coming. If Gordon Ramsay had a twin brother who was an accountant that would of been him.

Well I have been in my new job for just on 2 & half weeks & got offered a promotion today. My direct manager has resigned as he got offered a better position elsewhere so they are splitting his job into 2 2IC positions reporting to the remaining manager. I will be getting one of them with a pay increase along with a 10% loading for supervising the night shift. So in a matter of a month my salary will have increased by about 50% :msm: Whats this mean for the XR6. More then likely it will go as I'll need a sh*tter to park at the station sometimes to about 1am in the morning & then will start saving for a nice weekend car which will be purchased mide next year. Who knows maybe turbos may have dropped that much by then I can get another one but more then likely will be looking at importing something small jap & light that will be only taken out on weekends.

Hope they last longer then my monroes did on my corona. Same shocks got 5000kms out of them before one blew.

I had it off all night as well, can't stand traction control. Running wider wheels it seems to cut in whenever it detects excessive roll. I just feathered the throttle or shifted earlier if it started to step out. At some stages it had plenty of grip though mashing the throttle in second & not a sign of slippage at all. I'm used to driving tail happy POS 80's rwd toyotas so the turbo in the wet is very sedate in comparison.

Good cruise despite the weather & a damn decent turnout considering as well. Many a laugh over the CB.

SO its the servo we normally stop at to let the stragglers catch up at. If so I'll be there lol.

Stuff property, im going to be buying some banking shares, just started working for NAB, shares have copped a battering in the last 6 months. Buy in when the market crumbles & sit pretty in 12-24 months when it recovers & you double the money. Property is pointless atm as you would earn the same by throwing money in a savings account & earning 7-8% in interest. Rent would be just covering the interest bill which would make the only gain capital growth.

I've seen an XR8 taxi at the Airport a while back. Couple genuine SS & V8 Caprices as well. Haven't seen a XR6 T though.
-
I'm keen haven't been on a cruise for ages, should be there just depends on the finish time at work with my new job.
