  1. If you buying a car in that price bracket: Before you go chasing power, fit an Aux trans cooler and bypass the factory one. Change the engine oil/filter and turbo oil filter screen, change the diff oil, replace the fuel filter, change the trans/converter fluid/filter and flush the cooling system and change the coolant, then clean the TB and service the boost solenoid, unless all of the above have just been done prior to purchasing and you have proof of this. You will hopefully then have a mechanically maintained vehicle to go chasing power with. So you may have some funds left over for a generic 10psi tune CAPA box or whatever.
  2. I cant believe how much apprentices are getting paid these days..... When I was a 1st yr I took home $160 p/w.
  3. My mates chasing a set for his HQ Coupe, but that's proving difficult.
  4. What other mods ya got done?
  5. CASTROL TRANSMAX Z is approved by Voith, Mercedes Benz and ZF for commercial vehicle applications. As taken from here: http://www.tds.castrol.com.au/pdf/5125_transmax_zz.pdf

    Plenty of that in Cairns!!!!!
  7. I think all up mine cost me about $600, that was for the 044/Tank/EFI hose/speedflow fittings and check valve. It was a fun exercise and I saved myself a few $$$ along the way. If you have the spare cash the Rapid/PW kits make things pretty easy.
  8. I think most people tend to go with the Process West option. I think RAPID may have designed a tank to be mounted at the rear of a Sedan???? Not sure....
  9. This is a quick clip of Chooka strappin his $920,000k HRT 427 two door Late model camira in Cairns. He went out for a few laps but I preferred to watch it instead of film it.
  10. Over flow for the surge tank. When the surge tank fills, any excess fuel simply goes back to the fuel tank. Also using the top most fitting ensures all the air is bled out of the surge tank. I bought 4m of 5/16 EFI hose and 4m of 3/8 EFI hose and 10 hose clamps for $73. This is for my ute though. So not sure exactly how much a sedan would need.
  11. Have you bought yourself some EFI fuel hose yet? You need two different sizes. Those clips can be a bit tricky. But once you understand how they clip on there pretty simple to get off.
  12. The old outlet of your fuel tank goes to the 2nd highest fitting on the surge tank, the return line on your fuel tank goes to the highest fitting on the surge tank to act as overflow. The bottom fitting on the surge tank is the high pressure outlet to the 044. The return line from the fuel rail goes to the 3rd highest fitting on the surge tank. You will need to remove theses fittings to get run your new lines.
  13. Nah I think I do about 150klm's a year in the ute...... Cant drive the bloody thing with all this wet weather around....
  14. That sux then, the difference in traction over the Yokoham's I used to have was amazing. Lucky I only do about 100 klms a year on these tyres, so they should last me for a while yet!!!!
  15. Pretty sure theres quite a few guys that have had success with running Transmax in there manual's.
  16. Excellent stuff Kent. If you could crack a high 9 at Townsville or Mackay, I wonder what it could be capable of at say Willowbank or WSID??? Awesome!!!!!
  17. And you would be right. Sorry for the off topic, but as I said I still enjoy there efforts.
  18. I still enjoy watchin Dave and Kents efforts. 10.77 and 10.71. Cant wait to see what Kent can do with the freshened up motor.
  19. Sounds like PP N/A Rotary!!
  20. The car was bog stock tune wise when I fitted this. Cant say I noticed a great deal of difference, but I never really got into it. It was then tuned a month or so later. I just wanted to make everything as efficient as possible. I felt this was a worthwhile upgrade to perform. Every little bit helps.
  21. Ive got the RAPID Sytems Hot/Cold side kit. No complaints here:
  22. Yeah, the biggest the D01J's came in were 17's. I got them shipped up from Garys Motorsports. http://www.garysmotorsporttyres.com.au/tyr...Ranges.cfm?id=3 Stuckeys stocked them to, but no 19's. http://www.stuckey.com.au/tyres.aspx?BN1=D...Category=Racing
  23. I wish they made the Dunlop D01J Formula R in an 18... These tyres are awesome. Ive actually got a feeling they have been discontinued entirely....
  24. My 2L tank has worked a charm so far.
  25. Im suprised that the Peter Brock Falcons didnt shoot up in value.
