as we all know hot side piping is 2in rubber hose , you can get 2.5in alloy pipe , but has anybody made a 3in alloy hot side pipe , is there any benefits with a 3in hot side piping bolted to a 3in cooler tanks .

Rapid Systems has done this mate, its not an easy fit, but it can improve top end flow. I would assume a little low end response may be lost though...

I found 3inch hot side a bit laggy when used with factory plenum and internal wastegate... with external wastegate and plenum that's now fitted, lag isnt an issue.

So, Id look at 3inch hot side when you have a very high flowing intake/boost control/ exhaust system... for most, 2.5 is a good size to go with.

3" hotside piping is overkill unless you're going for 500rwkw+ mate. Nizpro's stage II kit retains standard hotside pipes & is good for 380+ at the treads

Wouldn't upgrading the hot side piping make it unroadworthy?

Mate, in NSW pretty much ANY modification makes a car unroadworthy.....LOL!!!!
