  1. Hahahaha! Good man... How much you pick it up for?
  2. How much are the ID 1000's toads? Apologies if you have posted before, but what is required to fit them to a BF or FG fuel rail?
  3. No probs, that's cool! What you mean by awaiting arrival? Have you not picked it up yet?? Id be champing at the bit to collect it! I agree though - Iv never seen the ute in person, but as mentioned earlier in this thread, he has not cut any corners by the looks. Certainly modded the ute right, and it looks mint. His previous car was also a looker too! Looks like a good buy that's for sure!
  4. My understanding is that Tornado F6 spent a fair bit of time with the guys at Monsta Torque showing them the ropes on how to build / modify / strengthen the ZF properly. They have obviously run with it and it sounds like there are a few happy customers running big power through them!
  5. So whats the latest with this guys?? Was there a final power figure or has Matty run it at the strip yet? Iv been looking at BF Phoons... Came across a Bionic one and Matts phoon is all I could think about. Will come with Argents, a built box and might be able to get a built motor into it. If I end up with it, add the go fast bits that I will strip from my ute and minus the big turbo kit, cams and a few driveline goodies that Matty is running and I can see me modelling my phoon around this exact car!! Keen to see how its all going....
  6. So how are you finding the ute?? This was Charlie's one yeah? What did you end up paying for it?
  7. Well then it isnt a screamer... You will not hear a difference if the wastegate pipe is plumbed back into the exhaust further downstream.
  8. I dont think that's what he was meaning... I think he was getting at that he would not have had to spend any money on the driveline side of things if his F6 were an Auto - 360rwkw would have been fine to an untouched ZF6, where he had to upgrade to a Xtreme Triple Plate clutch (pretty big $$) as he has a manual. that's how I read it anyway.
  9. By F6 motor, I mean you can lean on it a little in comparison to an earlier BA engine. Maybe your right - maybe there arent that many running 380 odd rwkw with the stock cat back exhaust... Not taking nothing away from it though - obviously a jump of 80 - 90 rwkw from a different fuel and 3 psi more boost is pretty bloody awesome! Good luck at the track!
  10. Given adding a surge tank / 044 and no cat and the boost level - the pump fuel figure (373 kw) is not that unbelievable and isnt particularly ground breaking. I would say that others would have hit that mark with similar mods before / would expect similar power with those mods... I mean, you have all the mods needed to make high 300's on an F6 motor. The only thing that most others may need to do that you havent done would be the flapper mod on the turbo, your using an FG plenum (proven at big power) instead of an aftermarket plenum and maybe a bigger dump / exhaust configuration. Obviously on the E85, its a bit of a different story and the power is huge... As mentioned - Be interesting to see what MPH and time it runs though.
  11. Faaark! Minimal mods for the power figure... No change to Cat or fuel pump? Be interesting to see what she runs. Good luck!
  12. It shouldnt cost you too much to be honest. Good pistons can be relatively cheap now, bearings shouldnt cost too much, the oil pump & modified housing shouldnt set you back too much... Machining and assembly will be the killer, but you should get away with the whole lot for $4 - $6ish k! Should be good for plenty of reliability and power. Jealous by the way, If you cant afford the rebuild and additional parts, feel free to gift the rods and springs over to me!
  13. Im tempted to say - I told you so!! Could do some damage if it caught you on the kisser, that's for sure.
  14. If he's interested in a ute, Im gonna be stripping some of the parts off and selling mine over the coming months Mikey... Its a BF mk1 though.
  15. Need to use some elbox grease mate... Its pretty hard to pull off, stuck on pretty tight. I would leave the centre bolt loosely threaded, otherwise if you pull too hard and there is nothing to stop it coming off, its gonna leave you with a broken nose!
  16. DO IT GRUG! That and the exhaust...

So..... Let me get this right. They fitted them hoping that you wouldnt notice - but you have. They now plan to take them off and re-fit some real DBA's next week. They now have some used (although minimal) RDA slotted rotors that they are going to sell to the next poor bugger that comes in looking for rotors... POOR FORM! And mechanics wonder why they have a bad name and why most people think they are often getting ripped off by mechanics.

You would be suprised... Depending on the size of the rotor and the model of your vehicle, Hiro Performance can do the DBA 4000's pretty bloody cheap and a set would come in at around that price / a touch more. The OP didnt specify if he has a BF / BA, and if its a BA, the pricing could be ok. Check out the DBA thread Hiro's Sponsor section for detail on pricing... Nevertheless, if he paid for DBA's - the man should get DBA's!
  19. Dirty32 replied to Kingers.'s topic in Brakes
I could be totally wrong - but I have DBA 4000's on the rear of my ute, and they look a little different. The slots are a different style and I cannot recall seeing an imprint like yours have on the edge of the disks... Hope im wrong though!
  20. Seriousssss?! Wait - Wut...? So - your girlfriend ditched you without actually telling anyone, or is it a bit of a joke?
  21. Correct - for safety reasons, you should probably not be putting anything more than a 255 on an 8.5" wheel. If its purely for drags & straight line stuff, it would be ok (as you wont be loading the tyres up while cornering), but for street duties it would be risky to go with anything wider. For a 275 to fit, your going to need a 9.5 or 10" wheel!
  22. Where is that price from Riki?
