21/09/21 06:29 AM21/09/21 06:29 AM #912 Author Freaking finally my trans and converter are on the truck and on their way back to me. So yeah...any guesses as to what will break next? Maybe I'll turn it down a bit...NAAAAHHHH
21/09/21 08:50 AM21/09/21 08:50 AM #914 Author Yeah old mate from Dandenong. 6r80 input, 1000hp exedy clutches, billet intermediate shaft, modded converter for 3200 stall or so, deep pan etc. Edited 21/09/21 08:51 AM21/09/21 08:51 AM by Puffwagon stuff
21/09/21 09:15 AM21/09/21 09:15 AM #916 Author The way I figure it, if I can make a stock trans live for as long as I did with the power I made, one of old mates rebuilds will keep up.
22/09/21 03:08 AM22/09/21 03:08 AM #917 $7500 for a 6r80 N intermediate with 24 month warranty. Seams to good to be true
22/09/21 04:38 AM22/09/21 04:38 AM #918 Author I think it's more of a case of others overcharging due to customer naivety. I was quoted 10k from other Adelaide shops and that wasn't including the billet intermediate or the converter. There is only a few grand worth of parts in a build like that and it only takes a day to get a stock ZF and transform it into the "ZFR80".
22/09/21 05:11 AM22/09/21 05:11 AM #919 A few grand worth of parts? Cryod/hardnered gear set is $2k, add another $2k for frictions, seals, bearings etc. And that's without the 6R80 pump and converter modifications. My dealings with that mob in Dandenong have been less than satisfactory, luckily I got my money back.
22/09/21 05:35 AM22/09/21 05:35 AM #920 Author $1200 for clutches, seals and bushings. $1200 for the 6r80 front parts. That sounds like a few grand worth of parts to me If you wanna add the converter that's $600ish to modify.
