LS1 Drag Nationals

I think Tuna's comments are very close to the truth...

I have TRIED and TRIED to organise a group of fords to go to the drags, but very few fords wanted to go. 90% of the time I ended up hanging out with the LS1 crew all night.

We had a track day at Oran Park a while ago, and only 7 fords turned up!! it was SUPPOSED to be fords only.

Even the track day at Eastern creek had a piss poor turn out. I think there was about 10 fords, and that was pretty bad considering it was FREE!!!

(there were more holdens there, that paid to be there!!)

Oh - but have you noticed - that the people who say that they wont go to a track, cos they dont want to "thrash" there brand new cars, are often the same people who do 200+ km/h on public roads, and traffic light drag every chance they get..

Unlike many people on this site who are anti-Holden, the LS1 boys are not anti-Ford. We appreciate all nice cars, and you would all be more than welcome. It's going to be an awesome 2 days of drags and dyno comps.

There are plenty of anti-Ford people posting over at LS1.com.au, probably a similar number to the anti-Expensive Daewoo people here. It's only natural to find anti-Expensive Daewoo people on a Ford based forum, as it is to find anti-Ford (or is that Fraud... :smilielol: ) people on a Expensive Daewoo based forum. It would be pretty boring if we all liked and drove the same car.

Unfortunately Heathcote is a little too far away from Canberra for me, I would love to try my XR6T out down the strip for a pass or two if the powers to be ever get their act together and re-open the dragstrip here.

I still can't see how the companies (Expensive Daewoo and Ford) marketing reflects this perceived attitude. :smilielol:

I've taken my "prestige performance car" to Wakefield a handful of times in 03 and enjoyed every minute of it. And if I owned a 10year old car (like an xD or a VP commy) I'd leave it down at Wakefield as a track thrasher.

Oh well, if any of you are brave enough, then download the entry form off the site. Cheers

Was this posted in invisible ink.  :innocent:

Geea I think we need to either be in business or in the 11's to get any kind of recognition. :innocent:

This looks like it will be fun. Think this will be a great day. May bring my car down for a bit of fun! :sleepystuff:

I reckon boring would be to be one of 200 T's at the same place. To be one of a handful of T's amongst 200 LS1's would be cool!

If I'm not workin' you can count me in, I'd love to kick some lions in the butt, and get mine kicked by a seriously fast car.

I'm a FORD lover, but also a CAR lover.

There wouldn't be too many on this forum that didn't at least for a second, consider the Generals product, or many others when purchasing their T. Don't believe me? There's a whole thread on it! Come on guys, let's over run this meet!

Count me in, I might not have all my mods done in time to be contender, but I would love to go just the check out the opposition's best and support any of our guys that are running, sounds like a great day!
