dont be afraid to name and shame the dealer. what a f..king joke, id have absolutely flipped my sh!t if that happened to me. make them pay for it all as its 100% their fault, then also go to head office n let them know of whats happened, im sure theyd be pretty unhappy with the dealer and/or the tester. what a jerk; its one thing to thrash a car, another when its not even your own car.

The idiot must have sat there just revving it out too. You said it only did 10 km's and the fuel usage went up from 8 to 30l/100 and there's no way you'd use a 1/4 of a tank in only 10 km's...

Allot of that stuff doesn't seem to add up to me, for example you would have to sit on WOT for the whole 10 kays to get the fuel economy up that much.

How could you possible f*ck up a car that match when you shouldn't even be touching the engine?

I've used 1/4 tank getting from Carrum Downs to Dandenong... Launching from every red light and giving it heaps lol... but my average didn't go up that high?? When you reset your average and you fang it around, your average would read high because that's the only thing it seen since..

If I was in your position, they would be paying for the whole bill, even if I went somewhere else to get the work done..

It's really easy to get an abnormally high average reading by reseting it then really giving it some stick..

If I reset mine at the bottom of the hill on the way home I can read 60-70L/100km by the time I turn into my driveway (about 500m). That's with a top speed of about 70.. Up a really friggin steep hill..

what does add up I drop the car off it had fuel in it it was running like a dream get the car back very low on on fuel and was running like a pig the road test almost had a biff and yes the tester is a member on hear
