Here's some pics to see how it works, you just unscrew one pipe and screw the other in with the cooler. Now you can see how easy it could be to fit another style cooler from a Mustang or similar. Non oil cooler pipe vs oil cooler pipe and oil cooler Not all blocks have the same size oil doodle. trist4nn Member 26 Member For: 2y 8m 20d Posted 10/06/22 11:24 AM Share Posted 10/06/22 11:24 AM ahh I see that's a totally different piece than I was imagining. so it must plumb to an external heat exhanger somewhere? cant quite see from the photos but does it divert *all* oil flow through the fittings out the bottom and back in? if so its basically just doing the same job as the sandwich plate ive got here. whatever it is plugged in to heat exchanger wise might be the key, if I can find that part. also yes sorry this isnt trans cooler related now, I've a standalone thread that would keep it out of the way. The external heat exchanger is the radiator, there are coolant lines that run to it. The oil goes into the flat sides of the cooler. I'd just use copper pipe as it's easily flared and bent but that's me.
