Incentive based on total project cost savings..

Who cares if we only build 2/3 of the road.. We get a share of the $$$ left in the budget..

He said it was an xr6 turbo.

Ba1/2/Bf1 or Bf2/3/FG?

Tanks are different brah. Some have better swirl pot designs than others...

Series 1 fg

And going on with the highway metaphor it would have been cheaper to leave it at 3 as I was led to believe the swirlpots in the fg were far better than the bas

Mattyp, Rob at monsta torque suggested to keep the standard in tank pump with the PW surge tank I got.

There was no need to upgrade as it would cause to much pressure and possibly damage the Surge tank pump.

Yeah that makes sense

A lower capacity in tank feeding a surge

But it doesn't make sense to step down in flow

It would actually be better to rip out the surge. He would get more flow

yes he would get more flow, but when the fuel is really low and you boot it, then all the fuel goes to the rear of the car and then no fuel is sucked in by the pickup.

Then without fuel the motor tends to do weird and wonderful things like shot a rod out or something of the sorts.

I rather have the surge tank with restricted and guaranteed flow than having the motor lean out and shoot a rod.

I am not tuna so maybe I might be misunderstanding the purpose of the surge tank.

Correct me if I'm wrong

But the standard swirl pot still has 500ml ish of capacity and if your tank is that low and you boot it with or without surge your not going to go anywhere

The surge will just run out exactly the same as the standard in tank.

I've run my tank out a couple times by accident and I can tell you the car just dies. It splatters a little if you try and start it again but it really just let's go like someone turned the ignition off.

The way you'd get leaning out and throwing a rod like that would be if your fuel pump system wasn't adequate for the power you had.
