Got a huge supply of stuff but haven't looked at it for years Spy

I want to start collecting for my son but there are so many different options, scalectrix have 5 versions incompatible with each other of course. The two main ones being classic and digital, that'd the decision I have to make.

My other alternative is to go with AFX which are matchbox sized slot cars.

I used to have a huge collection of the old 80's scalectrix but had to give it up when we moved overseas :(

Ideas?

I have a 38 meter scalectrix track packed up in my roof .Cost me over $5000 , when we moved house I packed it up and never used it again .If I would set up a new one I would use the german made Carrera tracks due to that the metal guides are made out of stainless steel ,so you do not need to clean the rust of the track constantly (rust makes the cars stop getting good contact ) They are awesome fun for young and old . I wished I had some photos of it to show people
