lot's of win in this thread today.

Liking this job I'm on, we lowered the gearbox today, straight drop and it took 50 minutes. The machine this gearbox normally drives is a lift that does 3000ft/min with a full load. Bearings we are replacing have a 950mm bore and 88 rollers, like I said a couple weeks ago . . . if I fkkukk anything up it will be time to flee the country.

took in camera today but no memory card farken.

Morning all - I'll take the camera in today. The most amazing bit of gear on this job is the lift control system - a fully automatic mechanical PLC/DCS unit that stops the lift on the correct floor . . . and can auto adjust for the lift cable stretching over time. Considering it was put in service in 63 it's a headfukkk and a half. Took the sparkies two days to disconnect it.
