Must say that I'm dissapointed that they havent gone with the dual exhausts on XR8, one thing that tops off the Euro look is symmetry, a twin, as in left and right hand sides of the car would have set it off, maybe 2.5 or 3 inch round for XR6T and 4 inch oval style for XR8, XR5 wheels look good, ON AN XR5!!, totally GAY on a Falcon, optioned wheels on Yellow T in Pics are the go!

Some I've spoke to that dont sway Red or Blue have said it looks too much like the old car, but the styling cues it picks up from the old car is what I like about it, I remember reading an article where they ran a VE Berlina, I think, on a BF Fairmont, in the end they said the VE was marginally better, UP AGAINST A 5 YEAR OLD FALCON, if they've improved on the BA/BF then it must be a good jigga in the making.

End Rant.

I also hoped for dual exhausts. I suppose if they cant afford new rims, how could they afford an upgraded exhaust? :innocent:

All very impressive to most here I imagine. I just hope it's enough to convince the average Joe Blow. Unfortunately we already have two so called respected journilists by the names of Julian Edgar & Will Hagon who couldn't be more unimpressed by the changes that have been made! they both seem to think Ford could have & should have done more exterior changes!

Julian Edgar's opinion is sheer waffle taking zero consideration of marketing and the business and timeframes of automotive product delivery. He also rabbits on about fuel economy and compares a $30k full size sedan to a much cheaper corolla - that's not a proper comparo.

The Turbo definetly has two bottom end tanks!!!!

Im not opening another can of worms but....... this could add value to peoples descussion in another thread.

Im definetly leaning towards a G6E Turbo.

Does anyone know if the G6E turbo will get LSD like the XR6 turbo & the launch control???

IMO there is no point Ford spending extra money on a costly exhaust upgrade, they will wait until the new engine comes out for the duel pipes

I want a GE6 T also!

but why would they not put a L.S.D. on that car and only on the XR6T?? they are basically the same car!

except one is a "luxury" and one is a "sport"

will be dissapointing if they dont put it on.

If it's not standard it will be optional. I would bet it's standard though.

  • Still have a turbo, it's just on a diesel.

I dont think Ford would be silly enough to try put 270kw through a single spinner.
