I have a povo pack hoover 5kg..... its just a dial one... but guess what... it also has automatic functions... yes auto functions!!!... my missuss walks up to the machine when clothes are dry... sticks hand into confirm cllothes are dry.... after confirmation, clothes are automatically taken out... then automatically ironed, folded and put into their correct places.... Best bloody hoover I ever had

Dryers are much like turbos, they have motors attached, they spin round and round and you put cold Sh1t in and hot sh1t comes out. Case closed.

I've got a Hoover Apollo 5kg thingee. Throw wet colthes in , pull out dry and piping hot straight onto hangers. Ironing board sold at last garage sale for the princely sum of $3.00

BTW have had it since '94 looks after me better than the ex ever did. That particular dryer cost me six figures Didn't iron or cook either

As for F&P goods they are generally pretty good. Got a F&P washing machine, had that longer than the dryer.... expenses so far $2.00 fuse. Touches head

I used to work for Retravision(electrial goods) down beautiful Narooma NSW.

From a sellers perspective we used to sell heaps of the Hoover and Simpson 5kg dryers (Hover and simpson same company and made in orange nsw) I hardly heard of any one having problems with them.

F&P also sold really well to.. I found that they have a better finish and they have also been designed much better.

For EG. The lint filter in the F&p is located at the front just inside the door for easy removal where as the hoover and the simpson are at the back of the drum.. This makes it harder if wall mounted to remove.

Really at the end of the day its a clothes dryer and I would not be spending the extra money on the sensing model.

You better hope it last's, between my parents and myself we've had 2 F&P washing machines bought at around the same time....both crashed just out of warranty and cost us less to buy a new washing machine than the board that needed to be replaced in both.

They're fantastic while they work but god help you if they crash.

Fisher and Paykel is banned from my place

washer machine while it lasted did a fabulous job but once they start to play up its , replacement washer was no better. As for the Fridge it just hasn't made the trip, but isn't completely dead yet so will stay in its spot for now.

the hoover washer lasted a long time and so did the last dryer
