24/06/15 12:09 AM24/06/15 12:09 AM #32602 Does anyone know how to take apart the rear parking sensors or is there some sorta guide? Since the wet weather mine are buzzing all the time once in reverse so I gotta feeling there's probly water in there, or it needs a clean
24/06/15 12:21 AM24/06/15 12:21 AM #32603 You cannot take them apart. Best you can do is remove them from the bar. Hit them with a hair drier to try and dry them out.
24/06/15 04:33 AM24/06/15 04:33 AM #32604 Just double checking.....if a X3 or X4 is locked/married.....there is no way to unlock it right?I thought I read that Herrods or someone used to be able to unlock them.....but then they stopped doing it? Was just messaging some dude and he rekons another guy who messaged him said they can get it unlocked for $150? True or BS :/
24/06/15 05:20 AM24/06/15 05:20 AM #32605 I tihnk SCT in the USA are the only ones that can do it. CAPA (previous Aus distributor) here used to be able to do it until they got found out doing it off the books for people and not sending SCT their cut or something dodgy like that. Now ability is only held by SCT.
24/06/15 06:22 AM24/06/15 06:22 AM #32606 Thanks Steve! Yeah wasn't sure if Herrods were doing it too....but when I called the dude was like "nah don't bother....just buy new one" lolFollow up question.....When buying a second hand Xcal 3; what do I need to look for in terms of latest firmware or info? I assume there's a spot where you can click 'device info' and it should show version type, married status, etc.If its an old X3....do you just download the latest firmware off the interwebs? Or does it not really matter and tuner can use any as long as its the 3000AU model?cheers!
24/06/15 10:08 AM24/06/15 10:08 AM #32607 My ute hasnt left the garage for about two weeks. Might convince the boss to go for a cruise and buy me a coffee later on.Burn up some of that lovely cold air that's out there tonight.
24/06/15 11:33 AM24/06/15 11:33 AM #32608 Ptr have you asked mt how much the tunes gonna be without the xcal 4 they include in the package?
24/06/15 12:13 PM24/06/15 12:13 PM #32609 Havent confirmed yet....butStandard = $2335Minus injectors = $1595 (plus $200 for injector install)Minus x4 = $990So by rough guess ($1595 - $990 = $605) is $2235 - $605 = $1630X3 @ $200 means $405 rough savings. I'm not too fussed about the xcal choice...even though the x4 is way cooler, it will only be used one time as the tune will never be swapped around
