September 18, 200422 yr #1 Hi Guys,I was browsing the Nizpro forum and they are planning a demo of their 1000hp on their engine dyno. So if anyone is interested you will have to contact Nizpro because they havent specified a date as yet. They havent disclosed much information about their 1000hp motor although it does cost around $40,000. I dont really know anything more about it because they are waiting for the release to the public etc.Cheers.Robbie.
September 18, 200422 yr #2 I would much prefer street-driveable useable power than huge levels of unusable maximum power, but each to their own.
September 19, 200422 yr #3 I would much prefer street-driveable useable power than huge levels of unusable maximum power, but each to their own. Dr Z,What do you know that we don't?You seem to have lost your objectivity yet again.Quick to praise APS, quick to knock others. No one besides Nizpro currently knows the full attributes of the power delivery.I do have some information, and it is nothing quite like one would normally expect.Brian

September 19, 200422 yr #5 can someone post a pic of the engine as I can't seem to register with the nizpro forums
September 19, 200422 yr #6 yeah I was registered, but now I can't seem to get in...I had it on automatic sign in too!!Dave.

So you would need a bigger turbo, better exhaust manifold some higher lift/longer duration cams to suit and maybe some head porting. Taking into account that the engine would presumably be running on a motec, which would help the lag of the bigger turbo, I think you would find the power delivery to be very good....also I think that all those APS flag wavers should be issued with a little APS flag icon under their name so we all know to ignore their comments on anything other then an APS product Dave.

I would think a 4.0ltr engine with a big turbo will have no problems being drivable. There is very drivable 3.0ltr Supras, drivable 2.6ltr GT-R's that put out that much hp. Can't wait to see final specs etc on this engine APS V Nispro is just awesome in my eyes. Some of the debates on this board about it get out of hand but in general, look at it... without Nispro would APS keep pushing the limits of the engine as fast as they are and vice versa? Makes a win win situation for the public to me

September 20, 200422 yr #10 That last comment is nothing but a sweeping and inaccurate generalisation. There are a lot of members who have APS kitted cars and whilst happy with their own choices they do not bag any other ways of modding Ts , infact quite the opposite. So lets not start another APS v others flame - a - thon kiddies
