  2. A VL with standard gearing, slicks, auto, and highstall with 255kw at the rears would do a mid to high 11. Robbie.
  3. I think it looks pretty good with the stripes but seriously how can you add that to a car and not increase it's power. Why are Ford so arse about when it comes to performance. Theres no reason why they couldnt increase the power of the typhoon to 300kw and GT to 320kw. The VE clubby looks pretty mean and it goes hard, and I think Ford really need to lift their game otherwise they will be left behind again. During a release like this it's a good opportunity to make up some lost ground on the VE clubby. Robbie.
  4. If its a standard PDF document you should be able to use the text select tool in Adobe Reader to highlight and copy into a word document. If it has some sort of security then use passware to crack it. Or just do a print screen and paste into MS Paint and save it as a JPEG image. Robbie.

    I think their a lot a faster than we realise because in the Motors 2006 BFYB it was right up there and finished 4th overall.   8. I think we should just congratulate Brian and Nizpro for building such an awesome machine which most of us can only dream about. Lets face it this thread is about Brians car and I think there is no need for any negative comments or comparisons even if they are small or no offence intended. Lucky for us Brian has put in a lot of time and effort to tell us about the developments of his car with in depth posts and lots of informative information related to performane turbo charging, suspension, brakes, wheels, tyres , you name it. Brian its been an awesome project from the beginning to now and can remember back when you were discussing your stage 3 motor, would you have ever imagined that it would lead to a 1000hp XR6???. I'm sure your just loven it when driving your T and hopefully one day I will be able to see it at full noise down the quarter or going around a circuit. Oh yeah dont forget to post a video of in car footage around a circuit. Awesome work. Robbie.

  11. Didnt the VE SS do 0-100 in 5.3??? and you would think with an extra 35kw's the GTS should do under 5 seconds. It seems that the new Commodores do awesome times when they're first tested but never matched in future tests which are nearly a full second slower. This really shows when they are raced at the track because the last time I went to Calder I saw a VZ R8 did 14.1@99mph in auto with a good start yet Motor have recorded terminal speeds as high as 108mph and as low as 100. Maybe the HSV's tested by Motor when they are first released are a lot faster than the ones driven in the real world. (nearly 10mph is a big HP difference) Who knows but I'll be interested to see the results of the test in Motor. Robbie.

  13. Hi Guys, I had the WRX dynoed at a different workshop but I noticed the codes are different compared to my previous graph on a dyno dynamics. First dyno graph had the following codes at the bottom of the chart - RH: 47 - AT: 21 - IT: 26 - RR: 010 - TN: 8.367 - CK: 714 - shootout_44 The second dyno graph had the following codes at the bottom of the chart - RH: 60 - AT: 27 - RR: 015 - TN: 3.537 - CK: 041 - shootout_4f The shootout appears to be different and was wondering how this affected the hp measurement.     I think the APS T had stock suspension which would explain why it was so loose when braking from high speed. Robbie.
  15. Nizpro dynoed a standard BF Typhoon and it measured 247kw ATWs standard which is more than a standard 297kw clubby. So the time wouldnt be just attributed to the great auto. Seems they have more power now as well. Robbie.
  16. The EVO 6 is the fastest of the Evo's released in Australia and I believe motor tested this model and recorded 13.1 for the 1/4 mile standard. It might have been the EVO 6.5 makinen. On the APS website a standard evo 6.5 put out nearly 160kw's ATW and fitting just a unichip it measured 185kw's ATW. The fact their lighter than the current model EVO 9 makes them good bfyb. I'm sure it helps having the shorter gearing and lightweight compared to the later models. Recenty I downloaded a Top Gear video of Racing Flix and a comparison was done with the Evo 9 and Evo 6 around the same track , both cars were stock and the EVO 6 was faster !!!!!!! I think you did quite well considering what you were up against. Robbie.
  17. Dont worry about the heal and toe. If you want to do a line locker in a manual just dump the clutch with enough revs and instantly put your left foot on the brake and control the throttle. It will probably take about 2-3 times before you can gauge what revs you need to stop the stalling and really smoke the rears. Robbie.

  19. I thought Steves Ute was a streeter and using the same size slicks as Adams 9 second beast ?? Or is Adam referring to the 1280 horses in the ute compared to Adams to 750ish ??? I'm not sure of Adams flywheel figure but I'm assuming 560hp would be around 700 ++ ??? I'm just curious like anyone else and always keen to know more about the specs, and different approach taken.   23. I was reading through this and saw the link to the hotlap rankings. I was the drive show on a regular basis and they definitely had the T faster than the clubby and I taped that episode and replayed to make sure and the was listed as faster than the clubby. Robbie.
