thought I'd refresh this thread, see if there's any new info on the old BTR...

I have a "built" 4-speed with a stall etc. The car's putting out about 370ish atm, it can go more, but I was concerned about breaking the trans... So basically the strength in the 4-speed is in the tuning, not the build?

if the EcoBoost can move a 5000+ pound truck in those figures, I would welcome it into the falcon!

Hmmmm, good debate... I think there are some very good points to be made. being a police officer she's completed her 80 hours of advanced driving, so she should know better and should be prosecuted more so that a civilian. Which is appears she was, BUT she has obviously appealed and was let off by a jury of 12 civilian victorians. now this tells me something, it's not the policing that is the problem, it's the public's misconception that the police are all mighty and shouldn't be challenged. The amount of bullsh*t propaganda that the government in association with the police put out to try and control the masses is seriously over welling. The only thing that separates the police from the rest of us is a 6 month course in Glen Waverley! I'm sorry, but a superhero that does not make. We have an unfortunate lack of police in victoria and as a result they have seriously lowered their standards in who they allow in. I have a friend in NSW who's trying to get into the police and was told that her small tattoos on her forearms could prevent her from gaining entry, that's how strict that are, not so in Victoria. The standard of people we allowed to uphold our laws (how ever ridiculous they may be) and to make instant life or death decisions should never be lowered. that'll do me

nah, I need the complete assemble! I can get GT3582Rs from the us for 1400 delivered! but he's reckons he can't find the wastegated one in the garrett catalog... I guess I could just try and find an exhaust housing here in oz...

I love the 2JZ... but all those BIG hp engine are freaking useless on the street, they only produce boost from like 7000rpm - 9000rpm and that's only in the top 4 gears!

sweet merciful christ! I remember when people were stoked to get 260rwkws out of their XRTs!!! 400+rwkw from a pipe and tune; truly crazy!

the engines get a dry run-in in the factory to bed the rings in... but still that many hours at a constant rpm is not good for a fresh engine... if you REALLY want to be on the safe side, I'd get it truck to where ever you live and run it in normally; ie, always make sure you warm it up properly and then thrash the ring out of it, lots of load, lots of throttle, but not full rpm till about 1000kms... I thrashed my few new Falcons from the moment of pick up and they all made VERY strong stock power figures on the dyno.

hi all, I'm in desperate need of a good, stock turbo (would be nice to have a bigger flapper, but not necessary) and ANY bigger then stock injectors (dekas, nizpoo, anything!) even a loan of a turbo will do, if you have one lying around... help a brother out
