  1. So.. Fixed all the issues I've had, turns out the spark plugs were causing interference in the canbus system causing the pcm to lose communication with the abs module and lose it's speed data. Oh well. Changed the rocker cover to an FG one with FG coil swap too. Back on the factory PCM and going on the dyno to check my tuning capabilities before the 1/8 mile drags on the 20th Feb
  2. There is a slight difference in dwell time for the FG coils, I just did the swap myself. Fixed a miss at higher rpm by just swapping coils.
  3. The FG fuel pump module is the "big pod" that's advertised on eBay. I'll post a comparison. But have the FG tank allows us to fit the KPM 1000hp module and the AI module FG pod to BA pod
  4. Why not change tank for a late BF2 or FG one? I'm going to do that and get either the KPM 1000hp module or the AI one
  5. Haha that's about right. I've been asked a couple of times already if I'm Barra swapping it, tempting but no. Mine needs a tailshaft, diff, bigger fuel system and turbo so it's going into the shed for a little while lol
  6. So I did something, not sure if it's a good idea or not yet... Lol going to clean it up and use it as a daily, taking the turbo off the road for awhile to so some upgrades.
  7. Thanks mate, I just went up to work and got another module so I'll run the power through the factory plug like you said. Think I'm going to just get the AI intank surge setup
  8. I'm trying to do the same thing using the bulk head fittings but one set melted through and the new ones are getting red hot.. Any tips please Ralph?
  9. More please
  10. Doing some wiring tonight, still got a couple of gremlins I'm trying to sort out. Got some wheels today though, FG Lux pack 19s. Looks pretty neat
  11. Not entirely true, You just need to replace the lower control arm as they come with the ball joint.
  12. Finally got the windows tinted, only taken 5 years. Changed the front bar to a BA XR6 as I had damaged my old BF one, I like the BA look better. Moved the trans cooler to where the washer bottle normally sits. Moved the haltechs data port to inside the car to make life a bit easier. Need to find some decent wheels so I can have some wider rubber on the rear. Can't accelerate too quickly on the street otherwise it spins the tires when the converter locks up. Fun but useless lol
  13. Had the same problem with mine in regards to injectors. I have FG length ones and just spun the injector around so the plug will clear. That isn't a sensor it's the ground for the ignition coils. You need to find somewhere to put it, I have the same setup and it fits on mine.
  14. The springs should have a colour painted at one or both ends, that designates what psi it's rated too. Here's a chart.
  15. Depends on the power you're after. The standard FG turbo manifold is fine for most builds, I think there's a few 1000hp fgs with the stock intake manifold. If you're going for more than a 1000hp then it would be worth the upgrade.
  16. A little help...
  17. Moved house last week, new house has a bar/recreation room and a workshop attached to the garage. Pretty neat setup [emoji846] Also picked up a trailer for drag week next year for $180, done bearings and changed the wheel hubs to suit Ford wheels. Got rid of the rust and gave her a paint job.
  18. Lock down sucks, work is getting boring [emoji848]
  19. Started moving house today, thought I'd see how well the old falcon would tow with the Powerglide. Borrowed a friend's tandem trailer but didn't realise it was bigger than the Falcon haha Towed it with no issues at all, although with it loaded the arse was nearly touching the ground

    Help

BA/BF are better looking than FG so stick with it. Just put a FG long motor in it haha
  21. You can't cheap out doing a turbo conversion on a non turbo.. I done what you did, trust me it's a waste of money unless you're going all out. If I had my time again I would've started with a turbo platform... In the end you'll end up with all sorts of issues, mainly wiring/electrical. Transmissions are different, motors different, diff is different. I'm still fixing issues from my NA conversion 5 years after I did it. Not telling you not to do it, just letting you know what you could be up for in the long run.

    Help

You can't push a BA turbo motor to 500kw, you'll need to do forged pistons and rods, oil pump gears, main studs and head studs, valve springs etc.. Check out@JETURBO's tuning thread. You'll see heaps of info on there.
  23. Lol there's a reason the stock turbo exhaust is a twin system...
  24. Being a BA, you'll need a lot of thing's... Valve springs Intercooler and piping Intake manifold Injectors Fuel pump Exhaust and dump pipe Built BTR if auto Probably rods and pistons as the ba rods are weak. That's all I can think of, off the top of my head
  25. Factory is 2.73:1
