  1. Could be worse things than owning a hooker with a crack
  2. Be a cheap arse like me and make your own 4 inch for $500. The hooker muffler I used has cracked twice though, so there might be a better option.
  3. If you have a wideband, can get hold of a boost gauge and can do a run without hurting the car, post up the tune and log and someone might be able to pick something. If you can't record a run without it leaning out or overboosting, take it to a tuner and get them to sort it on the dyno for you. They can check it safely without hurting the motor. Anyhow that's my advice. If you're wondering about the timing it'll be running about 5 degrees at that power level.
  4. Setting up the Xmas tree...telling the boys to hang their balls in the tree is hilarious apparently
  5. Oi shaggin like shaggin is gonna run out of shags.
  6. Haha 5yo daughter loves grunge, rock, heavy metal, asks me to crank the fark out of the sound system
  7. A 460 on stock wiring and reg can be tuned around, the way the pcm works it will take care of it anyway, even if it's not tuned...but it ain't recommended lol. Don't waste time drilling a stock reg, a direct fit only cost a few hundred clams anyway. The sensor will go in place of the gauge in the reg. They are handy but experience can also tell you when fuel pressure is dropping.
  8. The reg required is due to the return fuel flow. Big pump means big return/reg for the most part. It's only something you upgrade if necessary, so needless to say... Only upgrade if necessary! You'll know when a pump is running out cos you'll have solid afr's to redline at lower boost and eventually adding boost will make it lean out, even though the commanded fuel hasn't changed.

    Rod bolts

If I recall correctly they don't use bolts, they have studs in the rod and have nuts to hold the cap on. Happy to take pics for you if needed.

  20. Mine was fine for ages when the rev limit was 7000rpm. I raised it and the oil pump failed. The engine saw 7500rpm a handful of times and 7700 just a few times. I used a billet alloy backplate, billet gears, opened up relief port, various smoothing to reduce/prevent cavitation and had an adjustable relief with a stock spring that had 5 turns into it. I've seen those marks in a stock housing with stock gears and I've seen the housing with no marks. They must suck sh*t through them.
  21. The thing to consider with springs is how much rpm and how much boost are you gonna run. I've used the crow kit with retainers up to 40psi which is probably too much spring for a 20psi tune...but not the worst. Have a look around and see what they're rated for, ie how much seat pressure they have, then decide upon that. You could consider our engines undersprung once they're tuned, the springs aren't stiff enough to close the valves in time. Conversely you don't want to run a super heavy spring if you don't need to cos it'll wear the valve train prematurely. So yeah have a look, find some options then post again and get some feedback from others experience.
  22. To where? I spose any Ford parts joint will have one.
  23. Here's one. https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Genuine-Ford-Falcon-Territory-O-Ring-for-Water-Pump-to-Pipe-Thermostat-ORING-/261634571056?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&_trksid=p2349624.m46890.l49286&mkrid=705-154756-20017-0
  24. A fitting song for a fitting post...
  25. Get those valve springs in before you try for more boost. You're right though it's never enough...until you get to the point where it's too much lol
