Removed rocker cover shes clean inside but valve springs can be pushed down with 2 fingers. Going now to buy new ones.

Had to BUMP this thread. Everyday gearbox builders are coming up with new components and modifications. Iv only spoken to Joe @ CMS about building a box for my TTG. Quoted me $7k and is saying that's the minimum Ill have to spend drive in drive out with warranty. At the moment Im only chasing around 350awkw. Its not a lot of power but traction of an all wheel drive plus the extra weight of a TT has been explained to me that I must run custom billet shafts. TT come out with 4:11 so a lot of stress is taken off the box. Its an everydayer. Theres nothing wrong with the box that's in it at the moment but I like prevention. Any suggestions who to speak to would be much appreciated

10mins on my R1 about 30mins in the old tired TTG... Not game enough to try it in my VX Gen111.... Probably be more economical than the R1 but Im worried when I pull up at Joes switch it off and walk upstairs that it will spit a conrod out the side of the block hitting the starter motor breaking the bellhousing damaging the strut and dropping to one side.. It will happen due to just looking at that orange coyote sitting on the dyno where I usually park.

Well mate from what I gathered his sorting it out and even he is wearing the cost. I was there again today but I couldnt see your exact car...Soooooooo many Fords lol. By the way his not only a good tunner but even has great prices on parts. 6 X matched Bosch ID1000 (BA which cost more due to adapters), Garret 12psi Actuator and a SCT X4 for $1400. And is even going to email me a tune so I can drive it in once I build it. I honestly dont know who to see if your chasing 700+rwk Iv done my reasearch on the power im chasing which is half of that but if your anywhere in nsw he is deffinatley worth speaking to.

Do any of you guys meet up on a weekly baisis and go for cruises? The bike community is really small but we'd make an effort sometimes several times a week to go for a blast with a crew between 3 and 30 of us. Thursdays there would be hundreds. Would like to meet some Ford lovers and go for a blast. All my mates only are into bikes.

Im an old engine builder I havent been building engines for a few yrs now but still know a few things. But for the last week Iv been ringing around nearly every performance shop for a tune and advice on a TTG. (BA XR6 Turbo in a 2200kg shopping trolly) I went and seen Joe at CMS Prestons today. While waiting I looked around the joint. There where Fords as far as the eyes can see. He was on the phone speaking to someone and I was trying to listen in on a big tune engine. I also spoke to him for about 20mins previously on the phone today and spoke to him in person for about 20mins. All I can say if you own a Ford he is the guy to see. Its worth the 250km maybe even a 1000km drive. F%$# me personally Id drive from perth to see him. TEAM JOE!

Hey Guys I just bought an SY 06 TTG myself and am having problems coming to terms with spending $2200 on an IC. Im only chasing 280 to 300awkw. Plazaman is still making the kits (seems no 1 else is) and there is no doubt that the kit is of very good quality. I went down to Plazaman and spoke to a bloke named Henry which said they are good for 450kw and with their plenium up to 600kw. But even he said its over kill. Every tuner Iv spoken to is giving me different advice some are saying leave the stock one others are saying Plazaman is a must for those numbers a dump pipe as well as upgrading the turbo including a flapper mod (whatever the %$#$ that is) is a must. Its just over kill for what Im chasing. Or am I wrong?? Im only chasing one tune on 98RON so everyone agrees 650cc Injecters are the go so Im about to order them. Valve springs are a must even if its stock! (only 1 tuner in VIC told me this) but I can tell you that also cause I pulled the rocker cover off last night and they are very soft (200k on the clock) Iv debunged the exhaust and its seems like a pretty big system from there back. So a front mount is a must cause it dont take a rocket scientist to physically feel the heat these things retain and its a baby. So an aftermarket from Rocket Industries as large as I can go with my own plumbing (might be a few kilos in silicon and clamps but ay its an extra $1500 in my pocket) A few questions answered would be much appreciated as it seems there are a lot of switched on guys on this site and you've all been there done that and than some. 1# 12psi Turbosmart actuator too big too small any good? 2# Plazaman valve springs any good or pay the extra $$ and buy Crow? 3# Do I need a dump pipe bigger cat? 4# Do I need to do a turbo upgrade including flapper mod and if so whats the best way to go? 5# Do I need to upgrade fuel pump if so what to go? 6# I live in Sydney near Penrith whats the best tuner. (I have used Vince Rigolli in the past) Quoted me $1100 and said Pressures/shift points inlcuded and if un happy come back. My concern is his extremelly good (with numbers to shows) on rice burners many of my mates have gone to see him. Please keep in mind the AWKW Im chasing.

Fx6 from build number 1-158 ran 270kw build numbers 159 to 180 ran 293kw. A friend of mine was working as a car salesman at a Ford dealership and the reason they up'd the kw was to try sell them as the GFC hit at about the same time and these cars just werent selling so every ford dealer was forced to take a FX6 and to sell them at whatever they could get for them (even if they already had 1 in stock). There is one in QLD atm build number 179 which has the 293kw mods done to it and his asking $35k for it with 45k on the clock. I asked him what he paid for it and he said he got it at a bargain only paid in the low $60s. They are still badged as 270s. The reason why Ford didnt up them to 310kw is because the ZF is unreliable after 300kw in a car with that much traction and of course the extra weight. that's not to say you cant put 400kw through one it just means look after it a little more. @ Gold DM you are an absaloute champion!!! 3 days iv been searching forums ect and havent found an answer. I switched my ignition on and held in the volume power button it took about 4 seconds and my display is staying on. Very much appreciated.

I just purchased a Ghia Territory Turbo from auction this Monday, it came with no log books or owners manual so im a little lost (its my first Turbo car/bus) Im experiencing the exact same problem. If I select reverse the reverse camera works for just a couple of seconds than switches off A/C stereo ect all work but only for a couple of seconds. I had my brother Inlaw plug it into his scanner but no fault codes came up?
