  1. Welcome to club Boss 290. Cheers and good luck with it. No idea re the wheels sorry
  2. Kristanna Loken ala Terminator 3, she would be nice front seat decoration in the GT dont ya think Craig?
  3. mmmmm I know how you feel, I just had to have one too, and am glad I did, they are awsome I still want your car Rob. Geea Ha ha cheers Craig see ya on the next run
  4. mmmmm I know how you feel, I just had to have one too, and am glad I did, they are awsome
  5. Yeh great effort and considering the utes are 100kg heavier than the sedans, makes it more so.
  6. You are completely correct, sorry for the confusion. very politically correct answer there.....if it were me I woulda said.....sh!t!! I f*ckered up again!!! Just for you Voy, so you can sleep at night. "Be it known that I, Mercturbo, Farkered up by not knowing Nero autoconverts mp3 files to cd audio files"
  7. You are completely correct, sorry for the confusion.
  8. No mods, just dragged the mp3 files onto the playlist/compilation list in Nero and burnt them as is and they play perfectly in the GT. I'm no comp wizz but I didn't see Nero converting them to other types of audio files (wav or whatever).
  9. My premium sound plays mp3 burnt cdr's perfectly, TDK'S and Emtecs, its a 'Feb '04
  10. My Feb 04' GT may have a test set of these pads cause I've had no squeal at all in 11,000k's, but the front mags need serious dust removal every two weeks, no hint of shudder though even braking from 200km/h, and no I havent had her faster than this-YET!!!
  11. I too am a late scratching, unable to attend, disappointed to not be able to catch up Craig, Mark and everyone. Will fight hell and high water to get on the next one though. Sorry Craig no fang this time Cheers Rob
  12. aps has a 530rwkw xr6t toy in the pipeline, that should take care of any hsv irritations
  13. Well done Craig that's fast. Supposed to be at work lets see- watch naked girls, go to race track, run PB, go back to watching naked girls, tough life I suppose Cheers Rob
  14. Good luck Ivan, interesting you bought another so soon after the "other" experience. I feel confident (hope like hell) this one will be excellent for you
  15. Can only vouch for boss 290, definately gets better from week to week, noticably more power/responsiveness after 10.500k's, seat of pants say's 10-15% easy. These boss engines are fair units, prolly take 50,000 to get max power, as Grant said they just get better.
  16. I TOO WILL MAKE A BEELINE AROUND THEM. THAT STINKS MONDIE. GT522 is evidence shunt can be almost eliminated with a new diff, but it seems the $1000 bucks or so they save by not replacing it proves many things
  17. I'll be there Darren and Mark and whoever else. Cheers everyone Rob
  18. Good work Rick. that's one impressive machine. Are you suggesting the new clutch has helped with "driveline shunt"? Oh and as far as you being finished after the sway bars that is indeed quite funny. Are you saying you're coming back over East? There are a bunch of us guys who are keen to catch up with you Rick. I would pay for another few minutes in the seat of that machine of yours. The sound, the grunt, the whiplash, the looks, if I sound a tad jealous Its cause I am. Cheers Rob
  19.
  20. mercturbo

    Hello!

Unless you intend racing I would have thought at $6k the Brembos are a tad overkill, the premos are superb as Ken has said, good luck with your new xr6T (can you tick the GT box on the order form as the premos are standard with one of these  ) Cheers Rob
  21. After reading this I thank *beep* Geoff P at Ford Aus has given us this fantastic XR6T, XR8(and GT) hope the new YANK head honcho DOSN'T BOTCH THINGS UP and try to "Americanise" our cars. We have been Americanised enough already
  22. One can only dream.................
  23. Had a quick scan of this too, the $30 odd k price difference helped them in their decision as well, If Ford come to the party with Mondies diff and the cars that are using a bit of oil, the future might not be so bad for the FPV'S after all, it seems at least our 2 are relatively free of problems so far
  24. Sad so sad, these accidents have been happening for years, every now and then you get a big nasty one like this. When that Bozo in Tassie shot up a heap of people the media ran with it like starving cat after a mouse, made Howard spend 500 million getting rid of everyones guns. This kind of pressure is needed for action, otherwise I fear the next one is just around the corner. Just a few days after the event I see hardly anything in the media, just not popular enough an issue to for the media, this is the reality and it stinks
