  1. Have you cleaned the boost solenoid lately, it can make a big difference if things are starting to feel a bit sluggish - the custom tune will make a HUGE difference and if it needs cleaning your tuner will probably do it
  2. just make sure your wheels will clear them - lol
  3. why didnt you wait to get it tuned with the injectors - now it'll need a retune in two weeks. I hope you get the 300RWKW if not maybe the injectors will push it over in a few weeks Dan
  4. Pioneer do a freeair 8" shallow mount TS-SW841D that would be a direct replacement for the factory sub, also from Pioneer. That way you can avoid cutting your parcel shelf. No doubt other brands do 8" subs but freeair variants are harder to come by. Dan
  5. Dont forget to clean up the engine bay while the motors out, a great time to tidy up the wiring, hide what you can and make it look good. No point putting the nicely painted engine back into a grubby looking engine bay.
  6. Anyone got pics of the way you've all bent the aircon lines out the way. I'm keen to run a 600x300x76 cooler but the aircon pipework is killing that so may have to be a 500x300x76. I'm keen to see how youve bent them enough to run such wide coolers. Dan
  7. no problem
  8. Hot looking bonnet, any car with this had better have the go to match - they look cool
  9. A mate of mine got some headlight protectors and put 5% window tint on the inside of them, because the tint film is on the inside they look nice and glossy on the car. They looked really good like glenAUII's ride but on a BF FPV GT. Like truongski you want to be able to remove them. I have another mate who used a tint paint on his headlights but he was lazy with his prep and did a bad job and they look awful from up close.
  10. I'm at work so cant show you mine as no camera, but here's a pic I found on the site when I was trying to decide on which pod to go for. If this is your car I hope you dont mind me posting this pic,if so let me know and I'll remove it.
  11. Hi Rapidute, It looks like you are running an external wastegate, have you modified the original exhaust manifold or had a custom one made up? I've been looking to modify my factory one for a while but thought there may be too little clearance between the engine to run the wastegate pipe. do you have any pics of your wastegate setup?
  12. I've got one of Miss Aly's pods in my T and am always getting comments on how much better quality than the SS Inductions it is. It looks like a factory item. You would be hard pressed to find better, and the price is pretty good which is rare for anything to do with our cars
  13. I painted some stock 17" rims matt black and they looked really good - I dont think I have any pics but I'll look. Just look at the V8 supercars for painted rims
  14. no doubt this is sorted now - but one thing you can try is disconnecting the battery for 15 minutes or so to have the system "forget" its settings, when you reconnect the adaptive learning should be all refreshed and ready to start learning with the changes that have been made to the back pressure Hope this makes sense
  15. I removed the cat and centre muffler on my factory exhaust with no other mods than a pod filter way back when I first got her and luckily had no problems with the limp mode. I have since replaced the exhaust with an xforce number and edit etc etc - I guess limp mode is another luck of the draw things - some people suffer others dont
  16. had mine machined twice and FORD covered all the costs. Missing parts ?? If the brakes were worked on by FORD last time ask them to cover the missing parts. Did they tell you whet you were paying to replace? Talk to the guys at racebrakes http://www.racebrakes.co.nz/ they will sort out the dodgy factory set up, often just with a decent set of pads. They are really helpful and arent going to try to sell you something you dont need.
  17. What do you guys think of this beasty - for sale here in NZ
  18. I had very similar problem and it turned out to be the whole ECU needed replacing - luckily ford replaced for free as it was just out or warranty
  19. dont forget the deflector underneathe the front of the car will have to come off as well
  20. My black BA came like this from the factory, looks cool I think ;-}
  21. that's cool mate - I like to see people personalise their cars. Might try something similar. Who wants a boring stock vehicle? Rice can be nice!!
  22. try disconnecting the battery for a few minutes to clear the driving style learned by your old man driving - then when you reconnect the adaptive learning will begin to recognise your driving style. Whenever you get a new car with adaptive learning you need to do this to clear the last persons style from the ECU. I not saying your Dad is a Nana just the car is attempting to drive the way it has learned.
  23. make sure to check exhaust manifold and turbo bolts as many members have found these to be loose or missing altogether. My turbo has currently only got 3 bolts. My car was failing to make any real power with good boost was down on factory levels and it turned out to be a fault ECU that Ford replaced under warranty, went back in to the tuner ran the same tune 292RWKW
  24. No different to the guys that debadge and take off the wing to try and look like their ride is an XT - lol
  25. Spot on mate they are GMAX 182 but in 19"
