  1. I live in melb around the dandy area.
  2. One of my mechanic mates did it for me. What he did is take of the BOV and replace it with a 90 degree hose. This I have only done a few days ago but the car was running slow a long time before I done this. Will this do damage or effect the engine in anyway?
  3. Thanks for the help guys. Ill pay Ford a visit this Monday. Let you know how it goes
  4. sorry the vy was a s not a ss so it was a v6, I have looked at all the houses and have not yet found any leacks. since I removed the BOV it has been making a very laud whistling sound when boost hits. would that indicate that there is a leak. I have also tryed the Boost solenoid clean but still runs really sluggy. we'll see how much he loves me when I tell him I need new tyres next month
  5. Hi guys my name is Daniel. Iv been a member for a while now but haven’t had the guts to start posting yet. I turned 18 last year and inherited my fathers new BA MK11 XR6 Turbo. He said he wants a more family car so I scored big time! It has almost every extra from ford placed on it. 18 inch rims, the sound package, leather, momo steering wheel, the bigger brakes(not brembo), u name it, he put on it. I love the car and have great fun with it. It is completely stock only that I put a BMC air filter on it and I have taken the standard BOV off. It only made 20,000 km the other day. In the last couple of month I feel as if the car is running much much slower. I’m talking about almost losing a drag my mate’s standard VY. As you can all see this is very humiliating. Could anyone help out. I will take it to ford for a cheack up soon, but just wanted to see what your views are. The car didn’t always run like this. When I first got it, there was a massive difference. For those of you that will say to get an edit, I will just gotta get some cash. Ohh and would the heat that we have been having here in melb the last couple of months have such a negative effect on the car. Thanks
  6. Its alright I figured it out. The other end of hose that connects to the solenoid, connects, right underneath the Turbo (unless im totally wrong). Thanks took the car out for 10mins and felt a big difference. The cars been feeling slow lately and this just brought it back to life. Thanks once again
