I asked gcg turbos as I thought I lost a bolt but it was sitting on the core jammed next to the oil feed. They can send a set of bolts and the brackets for $30 from Sydney. Official Garrett stuff but apparently it’s a serviceable item. I keep a stubby 13mm in the centre console and check it once a week or so.

Photo Essay - Replacing Ba/bf Falcon Ball Joints
NathanB replied to PhilMeUp's topic in Suspension and Handling
Did mine recently and definitely found what@hoboturkey said to be true. -
Exactly what happened to me except it was a split hose.
-
Which store Keith?? Surprised they still have the red carpet lol
-
Going into limp mode/protection mode. What has been modified?
-
Looks amazing saw it on fullboosts instagram tonight.
-
And I read all about this in someone else's thread and saw that hose that you posted etc. but I thought nizpro would sort it out etc. if I was doing it I would just do a surge tank and pump etc and leave the stock pump in place. But I wasn't ready to do it yet. To be fair they told me to bring it straight down and sort it out.
-
Yeah that's why the guys at nizpro never recommend to do it. They only did it because my setup required more fuel pressure and the standard pump couldn't keep up and I hadn't planned on doing a surge tank and pump yet etc. as I said they replaced it with better quality gates submersible hose and I can say from driving it round it must have been perished or split from not long after I got it back and just kept deteriorating.
-
Problem found and diagnosed (over the phone at first) by Simon and the guys at nizpro. He told me before I said yes to an upgraded in tank pump that this is the very reason why he doesn't like them. He subsequently replaced the hose with a much better quality gates submersible version free of charge. Car is running like a dream now. Photos etc etc And having worked at an auto parts store this stuff feels like really crappy low pressure external fuel line. Even though it has the high pressure braiding and submersible rating etc. it's very very soft. Odd.
-
Yeah gonna pull the connectors off and give them a clean too etc etc. cleaned the throttle body last service too when I did my air filter. Do you think it could have thrown that error when it was adjusting "torque" output through throttle body and timing etc when it ran into a fuel issue etc
-
Here's something interesting. My obd scanner picked up code p2105 which is throttle body motor error. Weird
-
At least you know what it is I guess. Doesn't make it suck any less

Yeah might be a new set of coils. Meant to have been a new set when I purchased the car only 1year ago. Also plugs are less than 2000km old and re gapped by tuner 2 weeks ago as part of tune. I'll check the coils though Appreciate the help though Keith. You always reply so quickly and with great help. Should note tuner is not open today so I didn't have a chance to chat to them about this. But may call them monday

Long story short but symptoms I've got at he moment are; taking a long time to crank and then start(Note that the battery condition is confirmed good, and fuel pump is confirmed priming and running) Under any positive boost or load breaks down and sounds like it's pulling timing etc as if it has a bad oxy sensor or fuel pressure. My xcal4 doesn't show any dtc codes but I have an obd2 adapter I am going to chuck on that shows more pids which I will check tonight. Car idles normally and will rev ok until load or boost is created. I had a similar issue on my s14 a while back and it turned out to be an oxy sensor. Is there any basic troubleshooting I can do in terms of vacuum leaks or plug/unplug that I can perform that would be common practice. At work today still so will try anything once I get it home. I feel like it's potentially a boost leak or vacuum hose that is perished etc. as it used to do this under load in 3rd Gear at low rpm. So I don't think it's a major issue. I have a second car so not afraid to do some diving to try and resolve it. Also note this happens under either low throttle + load or wot and boost/load. Cheers for any tips in advance. Nathan

Cheers yeah the first tune was done by a well known shop but was wayyyy off so queue me driving like a grandma for a while until it was retuned. Would audibly ping under load and was so rich at idle. Was terrible but now it feels 100% better.
-
Should've posted this earlier but got the car back from nizpro about 2 weeks ago and they fixed the tune and fitted a new intank pump as the factory one was losing pressure something fierce. Original graph reads 260 and new tune reads 281. Conservative and safe as it's my daily.

300rwkw wanted - will this get me there?
NathanB replied to karlp2's topic in High Power Builds (300+ Club)
Don't you just keep going west until you hit the east coast of NZ .... 1000rwkw inc -
Yeah could be hitting the protection limit hard. I'd get it checked out by a reputable tuner and see if they can help you out. Yeah what mods does it have. Usually exhaust mods and intake or intercooler mods will cause this. Or even if they just turned the boost up without properly tuning the car.
-
Is it hitting into protection mode temporarily? Or is it just misfiring? I've had mine go into protection due to a lean condition/overboost and it shuts off a couple of cylinders and sometimes it would be temporary if I didn't run into the condition too hard and would come back but if it went all the way the car had to be turned off and on again.
-
More just silly banter at late night. But I do find that everyone I've spoken to has had to replace them at some stage. Pics of the car yet?

Make sure to check your diff bushes
-
Filter is much cleaner now photos don't do it justice. Thing was filthy!
-
Can confirm my habit spec tune (and mods) cause same issue. Getting retune next week finally. And fixed some issues over the last year including engine mounts and diff bushes. So yeah diff bushes lol
