  7. Not sure how deep the suck is on this one Is it just a Land Cruiser sticker on a Prado or is it Landcruiser and Prado badges and cover on a RAV4/Jeep or something? Not to mention the named "My Family" stickers for bonus suckage
  8. Ouch http://www.news.com.au/national/victoria/ford-sacks-hundreds-of-workers-at-geelong-and-broadmeadows-plants/story-fnii5sms-1226961103147

  11. Nothing wrong with the Skoda In fact I've had some decent PM's regarding them with Kimberly
  12. Ditto - was happy with my 351 XC pushing out 200hp back in the day
  13. As soon as I trade the XR6T in on a Skoda it'll be the first thing I do (or is that a compulsory part of the trade?)
  14. Bad hubby - publicly forgetting a pressie was from mum-inlaw.
  15. You'll be fine as long as no one washes their car on Saturday
  16. Looks like you have just over a week to get sorted Don Will be cheering for the 11's
  17. WPMO - ignorant f/wits in the school drop off line The line works brilliant (given the tight road/busy street) when used properly, but no - some parents need to have a good minute chatting with their kids once they stop the car before the kid gets out and they drive off. Surely whatever you had to say to your darling could have been done over breakfast, in the car on the trip to school or it can't have been that important. Stupid blonde yesterday thought it would be a perfect place to start sending sms's and checking her phone - never mind the 4 cars behind her who had managed to say "goodbye" to their offspring and were now stuck behind her, or the traffic on the main road that was now banking up because of the hold up she was creating. How hard can it be - drive up, dump the kid, drive off. Don't want your kid and their friends to see you getting abused in the drop off line - don't be a dick in the drop off line
  18. Or for those who can't read yet - a reading by Noni Hazelhurst
  19. Read this book to her
  20. That's the main reason I laugh and any attempt of theirs - If people who want to pay to watch (at their availability) can't, then they don't have a leg to stand on as far as I'm concerned.
  21. Might take a day (or 2) off midweek and do a GOR run back to the border (or at least til the good road runs out) with you. Plod will be heavy there in the leadup to the GP, but not so bad at the tail end. Might take the bike, Ash in your car for the GOR run then chuck her on the back for the home journey. Intercoms should work fine between the bike and the car.
  22. Come along on race day at the Island to celebrate Mick BenDoCo knows where to get a decent B/Day cake from

So I'd heard (when a forum member said they'd pulled out their cat and was queried - "not needed in NZ" was the reply) Come to think of it - it may have been the same bloke from NZ the other week, so take it with a grain of salt til it's confirmed (not the OP - the one who was complaining his XR6T doesn't get off the line in the wet as well as a WRX or round the track as well as a GTR) :S
  24. 4 and a half thou - can head here via the GOR and tick the last thou over

You're from NZ Ben? Maybe worth starting an NZ thread (if there isn't one already) asking other kiwi's for recommendations on workshops etc there's a few floating around the forum. (not suggesting you don't post here, but some of the Aussies advice may not be on the mark given you have different supplies, costs and requirements to ours - you don't need to run a cat for starters? and stuff we can get a good deal on here may come at a premium over there?) May even be worth a sticky thread (or even a sub forum?) for our NZ brethren to share their experiences? edit: just the other day we had a bloke from NZ trying to get help with a tune - am sure his tuner was punching in figures way above his knowledge level, but we don't really have a way of suggesting decent places to go for work etc and who not to go to.
