I reckon the problem with the drone was "should I bring it out?" How good would it have been with drone footage from the Hut to the Falls? No overhang - flat land - :D I'm tipping you're up for Snowy Cruise?

Why? There's been a fair few conversion projects come through here and not get the love they deserve. As much as we may love and appreciate what he's doing, we really don't have anything to add to his build. This is a very narrowly focused forum. Don't get me wrong - that's why I am here - it's focused on what I'm interested in. That's what makes it special for me, and why I return, read and contribute. This forum knows what it does and knows what it is. Anything outside the focus or the "parameters" that make this forum special isn't really going to get the expertise or the community response it deserves or needs, If he wants to talk about the 6T engine then we'll chat all day - am tipping that that's the last of his queries at the moment though. We can go "wow", "awesome". "good job". This is the wrong forum (unfortunately) to give him any help with fitting the engine into the car. As I mentioned after the bit you quoted - this forum would be great for him for "chat and community". His build thread would be well read. If I picked a wrong resource to send him towards, I apologise (not sure if there's bad blood there), but would you be able to suggest a place for him to put his build thread on this forum? edit: as per his query - where should he post it? If we had an active subforum "6T conversions" then I wouldn't have pointed him elsewhere edit2: my only reason for suggesting AFF is because they deal with both 1960s and 2015 equally - and discus mixing and matching which we don't come across
-
Honestly - AFF would be the better forum for that for the build and project. For chat and community, this one works

Was thinking the poop chute - pic worked either way

T3's - for what you want to do with your car. I wouldn't even bring them into the equation at the moment. Stopping is one of the things where stock isn't going to be a place where you need to be spending money upgrading from. Decent pads is what you should be looking for, rather than fixing what isn't broken.

Having a cruise and making memories

No - cleavage linked it as does

That is awesome. Next trip - we NEED some proper direction for the pic/video opportunities. You and Gaz working together to have the drone filming with the cars moving, Am sure Gary would have some places in mind where the drone would have a clear sky to get good shots Go-Pro stages with the cars bunched up and sync between the go-pro's - fade in/out with the same stretch or road/run with different footage and cars/views Music - you and Gaz are fired from soundtrack. Motley Crue, AC/DC, Skid Row all have decent songs - no more Nickleback
-
So - the last pic is the one ^^ Continue please

I love the random pic thread - gives me my daily recommended dosage of bikini's, sideboob and occasional nice car etc (if I ever feel short then Dags's link gets me over the line - for the cars) Every now and then though I see a pic and start looking for a pic to compliment it - exactly the opposite of random. Very occasionally there will be a couple of posts following that share the same connection/thread - then we get boobs again :D Am putting this thread up to see if there'd be any interest in a "not so random" pic thread. NSFW is appreciated, but so is PG13 - the more obscure, but more obvious once you see the link between the pic you post and the pic you're responding to the better Am wondering if something like this would work: => whipped cream (would be a good pancake topping) => whipped cream => cherry => red => Dead people (Bruce Willis) etc etc etc

The right foot is probably your biggest "fixable" item at this point. If you're using so much that you can't drive the car in the wet then adding better tyres is only going to make the reaction/let go far worse when it does happen. Auto or manual? How long have you been driving it? What were you driving prior? If the lack of traction goes beyond what even Mr Bean would find tolerable then get it looked at - there's something wrong. If you're coming from a Camry and still driving like you drove the 4cyl car then you need to look at the way you expect to control the traction yourself. These are cars that I'd be happy to let my grandma drive - they're not undriveable deathtraps - if yours is then either there's something wrong with the car or the driver - the stock car shouldn't bite you unless you tell it to.

That's awesome Gary Can I get you to follow me for a couple of weeks with a camera and video and add a soundtrack to my life? Damn that F6 sounds tuff - you don't actually get to hear it that much when you're a couple of 100 meters behind trying to catch up as it accelerates off towards the horizon. I think you may have bitten off a lot of work for yourself moving forward. For the Snowy cruise I'm tipping there'll be about 5 more Go-Pro's and everyone will have a drone with footage for you to work through

I agree with that, but can't see the government heading down that route. The amount of tax they get back from those items is friggin huge. I wouldn't be surprised if >30% of the money handed out on the pension ends up back in the governments pocket under another column, boosting their bottom line. 60% of the price of a pack of smokes, $16 from every slab of beer (almost 50% of the price of spirits), 50-60% on pokies revenue etc Imagine a pensioner spending $300/week on those things - $150 on smokes (pack a day?), $80 on 2 slabs (not unusual) and $70 on the pokies (easily possible) From the $300 they got in pensions, $120 (smokes) $40 (beer) and $35 (pokies) means almost $200 filtered straight back into to the coffers that gave out the $300 - albeit through a different column on the chart of accounts. Hell - if they wanted to show a reduction in cost of dole bludgers it'd be a lot easier to hand them out a carton of smokes and 2 slabs a week, charging the public/taxpayers at tax/duty exempt prices.Instead of that $300/week we see on the books it would only be $100/week the dole bludger is costing us. It would hurt the bottom line though for government revenue - no party would accept that. Those dole bludgers on the pension are a lot more profitable to the government than the poor sod using his pension to pay bills, buy food and clothe his kids and send them to school with a packed lunch - all the government gets back from them is a measley 10% on their spending that isn't GST free. Maybe less than $25 bucks of that $300 ipso facto: the real burden on the Aussie economy is the people on pension trying to do the right thing, and not the dole bludgers

Bought a 60" Samsung well over my budget. All I wanted when I went in to the shop was a 50" $500 screen Am totally wrapped. Wasn't expecting anything (or looking for) 3D Didn't give a toss about "Smart Screen" stuff Fark me - am so happy I blew the budget and kids ate noodles for a month. The 3D blew me away The "Smart Screen" stuff is actually extremely useable and usefull. Everything - absolutely everything the Samsung does is brilliant - the touch remote thing is a piece of art. Not in the way that an Apple Touch Mouse is, but in the way that it actually works.

Excellent shots again Gaz. Might have to steal a couple off you to blow up for the walls in the spare room. My old man asked me if you're a pro (he's secretary of the local camera club, so was decent praise)

I quit the fags about the same time I put the older Pajero on gas. Went from putting in $20 fuel and a $20 pack of smokes every other servo to a full tank of gas for $40 each week Used to actually look forward to filling up because of how much cheaper it was then to visit the pumps.
