    The 400 Mission

how do I datalog this? can the wireless OBD2 tool tell me wastegate duty cycle?
  4. who tuned your BA ?
  5. with your 470rwkw tune, can you lose traction at 100km/h+ ? tyres on car? When I go bigger turbo, im going ask tuner for tyre shredding tune, I dont want traction anyhwere under 100km. We dont build these cars so that our grandmas can drive them, go hard or go home. I want my right foot to dictate traction and not the tune, at the moment I find it annoying that I can't fry the tyres when a ss pulls up beside me. Below is what I want my car to do, Autotech tuned the car good , nucking futs
  6. Video of shredding at 60 or didn't happen, wish I could rip tyres at 60, would be fun , traction is overrated
  7. who tuned your car? are you serious about stepping out at 60kmh? I have around 350kw and cant even spin my 245 wide tyres at 40km/h anyone else on the forum find it relatively easy to spin tyres with 300kw?
  8. I've run 11.2 down the strip, the best way to launch is to have good grip mate. I use chewing gum and double sided tape on the tyres, works a treat and I managed to get a 1.7 60" footer Your car stock? running et radials? more info needed. No point trying to get the best launch and quicker times when it wont hook up and just spin on the spot
  9. Another CMS 9 second car in the making?
  10. I stopped watching because too much buffering, my download speed is 4mb/s
  11. you can enjoy your v8 sound and also enjoy being in the rear view mirror of Turbo 6 falcons
  12. don't think I could ever part with my turbo 6 as a daily driver, will miss her too much . Ye it's expensive to run, but YOLO right? makes it all worth while when a cammed up commy pulls up beside me
  13. does anyone know if the VE SS commodores can store more than one tune? our xcal allows us to have eflex, 98 and several other tunes. Bloke in a VE SS ute said he had 340rwkw on ethanol, I said I have around the same. Nek minute he gets chopped, says he is currently on a 98 310rwkw tune, bullsh*t or can these commodores actually accomodate different tunes?
  14. so much win
  15. matty maths tells me .23 is before .24 I need to be 3rd last from the bottom, will give me a better chance to stay in the top50
  16. nah mate, told Joe to delete that tune from my xcal a long time ago. Maybe there is a very high 10 second pass in the car , atleast my best run of 127.22MPH suggests it should run a 10sec if everything goes right and better tyres
  17. Just managed an awesome time down the strip. Thanks Joe and Achilles :D Who needs expensive slicks when 245 wide Achilles tyres that cost me $119 each can get a 11.2 Mind you I did do a massive 4th gear burnout There is some black magic chit going on at CMS, on the current tune my car read 310rwkw on Joes dyno but went 11.2 down the quarter, another example of why dyno numbers dont really matter too much. Only bad thing is I can't complain to Joe how 'slow' my car feels anymore, all he has to say is "11.2 seconds" to shut me up :(
  18. Matty please KINDLY kick jimmixr off the list and put me in there Who needs slicks when el cheapo 245 wide Achilles tyres that cost me $119 each can get a 11.2 :D

    Body Swap

manheim.com.au buy an ex cop carfor cheap, swap everything over, flog your current brembos off and make some money as cop cars come with big brakes standard
  20. with normal grandma style driving, overheating warning doesnt come on . Will tame the right foot until it's sorted.
  21. Not yet mate, just wanted to make sure if its normal or not because other customers of his have never had a problem, including vevapower with 535rwkw. Also saving for a new tune, I want the actuator preload tighter. Once I have enough dough for a new tune I will drop the car in and mention ZF overheating issues
  22. FARK I paid $700 installed, was hoping it would be good enough. Any sort of wind deflector that can be made to force air through the damn thing? Looks like PWR will be my next option whenever funds allow. Ratter, when I go home I will take pics of cooler lines and try to measure size
  23. I have no idea mate, cms supplied and installed the kit.
  24. mine was done at CMS, so the air cooler isnt the issue? maybe the new oil is. can oil level contribute to overheating? Maybe unbolting the front of the cooler and moving it further up on the chassis so that the cooler sits at a 45 degree angle to the road would help with more air flowing through it. At the moment best guess would be air is just skimming over it and not actually going through it
  25. Has the ZF overheating warning ever come on? With the stock Ford oil to coolant heat exchanger I never had the ZF overheat warning, no matter how hard I thrashed the car. With new oil to air cooler it can barely take half the thrashing and overheats way too easily, even on a cool night with outside temp 24 degrees.
